I know that Towers Family Restaurant is currently being refurbished, but I have just noticed on the Alton Towers website on the food section:
So it will reopen the day CBeebies Land opens.

That's a long time for a refurbishment considering that they've had the whole closed season also. And it means no nice breakfast food at the start of the days! Hopefully whatever work they are doing will result in a far improved food offering once it re-opens.

Hopefully they don't destroy the inside's beauty, like they've done with the Burger Kitchens. :/

I will certainly miss the brown floor tiles, half water wheel and artex ceiling!
To be fair what ever they do in there it can't get any worse!
What I would like to see is for them to continue to offer breakfast in the morning like the currently do, but then from say 12pm have a buffet style restaurant like the one in the Duplo area at Legoland, its like a mini Flambos. That way they can offer a variety of food and it will be something to draw people to the restaurant, as it used to always be dead, partly because it looks horrible in there, but also it didn't really offer much and most people probably didn't even know about it.
If not I would refurbish it to look more like a pub restaurant, bit like a Wetherspoons. With nice comfy seats and a bar area. However I expect it will just be white walls and floors and plain furniture.
You could also refurbish the outside section and have a counter selling more hot food to take away, a bit like Roast and Relish at Thorpe Park.

I would like to see the bar element removed from Corner Coffee and transferred to the Restaurant, that would use up some of that wasted counter space and free up Corner Coffee more.
A nice modern bar / restaurant atmosphere would be great, with some character, modern lighting, relaxing soundtrack. I've always felt the whole place lacked any atmosphere, bright lighting and basic seating equals rubbish atmosphere.

Agree with others, if TFT reopen at same time as Cbeebies land we may see character meals, which should be very popular.

I was in there on the last day of half term and me and my other half both sat there and said how dirty the place felt. Now days with the amount of coffee chains out there there is no excuse to not be on at least an equal footing presentation wise as your costa or Starbucks.
