league wise, Barca have hit a bit of a wall, but they are always dominant in the champions league, where as Athletico seem to grind out results in the champs league. Barca will sail through this draw....

*cough* ;)

Cracking semi-final line up!

:)

Haha ok ok, i'll give you that one.

i saw the match in a utd pub last night and when Bayern equalised i think it was the single greatest moment in my life, just seeing their joy THAT shortlived was fantastic to see :) Credit to evra though, that strike was fantastic!

Semi-final draw for the Champions League has been made, and is as follows.

Real Madrid v Bayern Munich
Atlético Madrid v Chelsea

That first match should be fantastic.

Was hoping for a Madrid vs Bayern final but should still be a couple of cracking semi-finals.

Atlético and Madrid to progress.

You'd think Madril will be too strong for Bayern although you can never rule the Germans out. Ronaldo seems to socre at least one in every game he plays! Should be a cracking tie though.

Chelsea will be fairly satisfied I think.

:)

Was hoping the two Madrid clubs would avoid each other in the semis, finals are always more exciting when it's clubs that are rivals imo, so glad with the draw and hope both Madrid teams progress.

Not the United way, and the way it has been handled has all been quite embarrassing. The Glazers have said it's based on 'footballing reasons', like anyone will believe that.

I'd have given him until at the very least Christmas. No doubt it has been a dismal campaign but everyone can see that the squad isn't good enough and bringing in Van Gaal/Klopp or whoever won't change that fact. Funny seeing people saying that Moyes was a gamble, yet they'd like to see Giggs as manager, because that's not a gamble.

Looking forward, my choice would be Klopp, but he won't leave Dortmund.

Well, I can't say I'm surprised that Moyes has been sacked.

I said to you that he would go way back in October :p
You did? I don't think I can remember that. :p

And no, I'm not digging my way through 5 months of crap to find it :p

So, who will replace Moyes? Giggs is in temporarily......

What a bizarre decision... Greatness doesn't come overnight.

Look at Fergie when he first took charge? Look at wengers many trophy less years and he's still in charge and proving that Arsenal still can do good things...

It just seems knee jerk and weird. United fans should have known that their season would be poor, though maybe not quite this bad, but I think sacking him already is maybe premature.

Moyes is the most overrated manager I've ever seen and I've been saying this for about half a decade, never deserved the man utd job, and imo never deserved 11 years at Everton. Should've been sacked for holding the club back years ago. Possibly the most deluded, clueless and inept manager of my lifetime. All those years of being the only person who could see how terrible he really was and having to deal with all "he works well with a small budget" BS and pathetic media bias saying he was one of the leagues top managers, thank god I've finally been proven right. In 11 years he won nothing at Everton, yet somehow he's a great manager? So great he never even won an away game at a big team? :p

Then in Everton's first season without him as burden we're challenging for the champions league and already have more points than Dithering Dave ever managed to get. Thank god we got rid of him and replaced with a good manager who isn't holding the team back like Moyes did.

I think that is a bit unfair. Moyes had to often sell his best players at Everton so was rebuilding a lot. (Arteta, Rooney, Rodwell (he was when he left), Lescott...). I understand why Everton fans may not have liked Moyes, like some West Ham fans don't like Allardyce, but I wouldn't say you've been proven right.

Martinez is doing a great job so far and has implemented a good style of football, but I actually don't think Everton are really any closer to winning anything, and they won't have their loanees next season.

I'm pro the Moyes sacking.

Yes, the players are to blame, in part anyway, but they are mostly the same players who are current champions! Bad selection's, bad purchases (Marouane Fellaini), unknown and unprorven back room staff and fundamentally selecting inappropriate tactics have also been a major contribution to United's failings this season.

For a club as big as MU, 7th is not acceptable. Gone are the days of when SAF first joined, there is no room for 'allowances' in the top-flight now. Football is a bigger business than one can imagine and with the competition continuing to invest on an unprecedented scale, there is no other choice. Arguably the 4th largest club in the world should not accept this seasons results. These could and for sure will (if the same was seen next season) majorly set them back against their rivals who are reveling in the opportunity United are leaving behind them - Champions League football - the world stage.

IMHO anyway.

Oh and even more unsure of Giggs. Well at least now United have nothing to play for, even Europa league qualification is in the hands of Arsenal really.

Big congratulations to Leicester...

In other news looks like we pretty much have no chance of escaping relegation now. I'm worried for Norwich. I can't bare the thought of another downward spiral like last time this happened...

I don't see the bottom three changing now. All three have changed managers and haven't really improved.

I did a league predictor and this is the outcome (ignore that Palace is highlighted, I found it on a Palace supporters forum).
