Strange, it is still working for me, and I have booked two rooms using it. Looks like it is splash only though. Does it not show the Sun Promotion in the drop down box on the far right?

Sometimes the booking site takes time for it to take effect as they haven't added the codes etc.

I didn't think there would be any blackout dates - as the sun tickets are available for any day, they usually have rooms available on all dates too. The busiest days are limited though.

Just wondering if you need to bring anything to check in to for the 50% off code? Thanks :)
 
You don't need to bring anything with you. Just check in as normal. :)

I can't get a room for Friday or Saturday. Didn't plan on staying but I thought I may as well try my luck with the 50% off. That was to be expected I suppose.

EDIT - I've just realised that the offer only applies to rooms after the 23rd. Please delete this post as now I just look like a god damn fool!
 
We managed to get it to work at Alton Towers Hotel. Seems a bit steeper this year (approx £120ish) as opposed to the £99 or below of previous years.
 
Thanks for letting us know about the 50% off accommodation code - managed to get 2 nights in Splash next week for £130. Very happy with that!
 
There will be 241 vouchers (for all Merlin parks) in The Sun Newspaper tomorrow for anyone who's after some.

That may be part of it but I wouldn't expect them to raise prices when all they're doing is refurbishing bathrooms to a standard they should have been at 5 years ago.

The Sun code is great though. Got a two night stay in May for 4 people at £59 each (or £30pppn). Bargain!
 
Had a voucher from Tesco with my receipt allowing half price entry for up to two adults or children, valid until 1st June 2015. Not sure if a qualifying spend is needed or anything but we didn't intentionally buy anything special to get it!

EDIT: Ok, picked up a leaflet in Tesco today which sheds some more light on this. To get the voucher all you have to do is buy a product from selected brands, which are (deep breath and look away now if you don't like product placement!) Pampers, Ariel, Bold, Daz, Fairy non-bio, Lenor, Flash, Viakil, Fairy, Febreze, Ambi Pur and Iams. This runs until 15th APril.

Basically get cleaning and treat the cat!
 
Surprisingly there still seem to be a lot of the 50% off rooms up for grabs. Bit tricky to find the Friday / Saturday nights but I just got two rooms in Splash mid-week, £77.50 per couple.

I've paid more than that for a Travelodge on plenty of occassions so a rare Merlin bargain.

It can really prove to be a bargain. Two nights for four people at a weekend coming up soon priced at £59pp with the offer!
 
Any offers other than the Kellogs Cereals out there at the moment? 4 of us are heading this coming Sunday so I could do with a couple of 2 for 1 vouchers!
