This isn't about NO THEME, or car park coasters with a sign. This is about the worst, most garish, awful, whatever themed rides in the world. This UTTER monstrosity inspired it:

Primeval Whirl - @Scott Debunked by @HaydenCR ... it looks horrific but it's meant to. So that can't count.

Contentious:
Hunderprutteruchebane (The Dog Fart Coaster). I think much of the budget went on letters. - @HaydenCR
 
I haven't been on it, but the colour scheme for Silver Bullet at Knotts Berry Farm is in a similar awful vein:

Cant forget Scream over at SFMM, which started the trend of the Car Park Coaster, plus the "theming" that is there is incredibly outdated.

It doesn't look that bad in person admittedly but it is a bit of a colour mess. Even weirder when you'd think the colour in the rides name would be on the ride a bit more. Ah well.

Aww poor Scream. Everyone thinks it started the car park trend when Medusa at Discovery Kingdom got that acclaim two years earlier.

Worst coaster theme? I really think Kraken is a terribly themed ride. The colours are okay but the whole ride over concrete and roads. Manta in the same park really shows it up for the poor effort that Kraken is.
 
Kraken was built during the period where SeaWorld weren't as fussed about visual aesthetics as they are now. Had they built Kraken in the present, it would look considerably better than it does now [although you can't shoot them down for the effort they at least made with the kraken in the entrance plaza for the ride].

They really seem to suffer. I wonder if it is anything to do with the cost to purchase the ride in the first place?

Remember though, it's not so much a poorly executed good theme, or no theme at all - it's a really awful theme I want ideally (though the car park coasters, and bad themed ones definitely deserve mentioning in here!!)

I just want to find the world's worst themed coaster. I still think the one I posted first takes some beating!

I await random far east entries though, I am sure the subcontinent also wont let us down at some point lol!!

Other than the tunnel, it's not that bad, it's meant to be minimal and the theme is not executed well admittedly in terms of the depth, but the actual theme itself, ride music, general atmosphere is actually quite nice. The shop, the style, it's a decent theme - it lacks depth and immersion rather than being a crap theme.

Actually yes, when they first came out the strobes in them etc I really liked, but two giant pepsi cans is a bit naff come to think about it lol!!

Still, given it's an amusement park more than anything, they actually theme quite a lot really, so all in all, I'm not given to get on BPPs back over that one.

That will divide opinion ;D - and it is a guaranteed laugh a minute for the kids! Farts remain hugely amusing at any age. As a comic staple, I am not sure I can allow this, however putting my own "sense of humour" to one side I'll put into the "contentious"... pile.
