Hi guys. My name is Albert. Also known as Amysteriousstranger. The name comes from a favourite video game of mine Fallout Las Vegas.
I'm from a town close to Alton towers called chesterfield, I bet few have heard of this. We are famous for 2 things a crooked spire church and what was at the time the largest Tesco in Europe!
I am a big football fan and season ticket holder with the club.
It has been many years since I last visited Alton towers (year of sub-terra opening) as I have been completing a social work degree. Now that is finished and I have solid employment in a children's team I now have spare time so intend to start visitin :)
I have a very understanding partner called Sarah. Although she lived closer (in Ashbourne, which is probably known) she has never been to Alton towers!!
I have also joined the other forums (towerstimes and almanac) so I'm not sure what you'll make of that.
My primary reason is just to browse and admire some of the amazing photos taken on all of the fan sites. Some of you should make a career out of photography :)

I'm not sure what else I can say by way of introduction....I'm sure I'll think of things to say and contributions to make.

As always. Have fun and be safe

I hope you're enjoying Ollie Banks...we made him the player he is (see if you can guess who I support!) :)

Welcome to TS though!

Hello, world!

I am from Carlisle, and I have been going to Alton Towers every year since about 1996 (I'm 22, so I might have gone before this and forgotten about it). I would go every week if I lived closer and it wasn't inordinate hassle to get/stay there. I love theme parks, rides, etc., obviously.

I've only just discovered this site, weirdly. I'm having my annual visit on 6th & 7th October so I was doing some research and came across this. I like it, good job, guys. Good to find a place that has people who like all of the things that I like. I would like to keep coming back, if you'll have me!

Welcome to TowersStreet Joban! Spend a while here and you'll soon be increasing the frequency of your "annual" visit ;)

Carlisle it's only up the road from towers (given it's 160 miles up the m6) enjoy yourself mate

Yeah but you have to have a car that can hack several 3h30m drives a year (which I don't) and have enough money to get there and stay there (which I often don't). I'm getting there though, so my annual visit is almost definitely about to creep up to bimonthly.

Ideally I would just move nearer. Which I probably will in the future. There's nothing up here for me.

Thanks for welcoming me, guys!

Hi there!
Was nervous of making my first post on here in a big topic so thought this would be the best place for it :) I've been visiting the Towers since I was a little one in 1994 and love learning new information about the rides and park itself! (I believe all my knowledge of coasters has actually come from previous forums :tongueout:) Will hopefully get to do a meet up at some point as everyone seems really nice from my lurking!

10am tomorrow. Be there :p

(All seriousness, welcome :) )

Hi,
I have been a member of coaster forums for a few years now, but sick of the way they have all turned out recently, hoping this forum will be more friendly and more inviting.
Some of you may remember me from Towers as I worked on Rita and 13 back in 2010.

Just turned 25, currently live in Ashton Under Lyne just outside of Manchester.

Welcome! I agree about the other coaster forums if I'm homest, but I'm sure you'll love the unique, friendly, and quite frankly crazy community that is TowersStreet.

:)

Hi, I've joined this page as my daughter is AT crazy and is currently driving us mad with her withdrawal symptoms for the park. I'm looking for a safe forum she can join to chat with others who are mad about the park as her.

Welcome to the forum guys! We are definitely all AT crazy, and also a family orientated forum. Just I wouldn't visit Ben in the tavern if you want what can only be described as quite the opposite of family friendly. :p

Hi all,

Just wanted to Introduce meself, I'm Smileywolf, I'm 24 and a student and am completely new to the Alton Towers thing and want to learn a lot about the place as I've only been to Alton Towers once, Loved the Rita ride going from 0-100 miles per hour in 2.5 seconds, it must put so many g-forces on your body, it must be fastest ride in England never mind just at Alton Towers, Shame it had no loop-de-loops though. My least favourite ride was the Nemesis one, It looks really old so they should remove it.

Don't know what else to say, just wanted to post a quick hello and give a bit of info about meself.

Chamoan!
