We are pleased to announce our final official TowersStreet meet-up of the main season at Alton Towers for the explosive fireworks event!

Our official, season ending finale takes place on Sunday, 9th November but with 3 days of fireworks taking place from the evening of Friday 7th November - you're more than welcome to join us on park on any of the days!

For those who don't have commitments on the Monday, why not join forum members for an optional season ending glass of bubbly in the resort hotels with a stopover at either Splash Landings or Alton Towers Hotel after the gates close on Sunday night?

The plan for the whole weekend is as follows:

Friday, 7th November (optional)
5.00pm - TowersStreet group meets on the lawn at the bottom of Towers Street in the theme park for the first show at 7.00pm followed by some rides in the dark.

Saturday, 8th November (optional)
10.00am - TowersStreet group meets at the bottom of Towers Street outside the resort box office.
Please note: If you are attending on this day that the theme park usually gets very busy so arriving early is essential to ensure a good parking space

Sunday, 9th November (official meet day)
10.00am - TowersStreet group meets at the Splash Landings Hotel lobby.

Followed by optional stopover at the resort hotels for those interested.

WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU THERE!

As I have done for the past three years, I shall be there all day on Sunday, and more than likely all day on Saturday as well. I'd love to confirm for Friday as well, but I can't yet until I know my work schedule for that week. I shall be stopping in Splash Landings on the Sunday night for the 'optional glass of bubbly' on the Sunday night. Which shall almost certainly be followed by several more drinks. Well, my birthday's on the Monday, so why not? :p

@AstroDan it seems you have the dates wrong! It's not 9th, 10th and 11th, it's the 7th, 8th and 9th. :p

Anyway, I can't make this meet unfortunately due to other engagements. See you all in the new year!

If anyone wants to share a room, I'll stop over Sunday night, Could be persuaded to stop over on the saturday night as well if I'm not working Sunday.

Will be there Friday night to Sunday, accommodation permitting :D

What are others who live further afield doing on Fri/Sat nights for accommodation? :)

Will be there on the Friday evening after work and the Sunday. In Southampton on the Saturday though so it won't be three nights of fireworks for me this time!

:)

Don't force yourself or anything, I'm sure we'd cope without you

The whole reason I'm going is to ensure that by Sunday night, your alcohol consumption levels justify me throwing you in the ATH pond ;)

Don't be letting them go all Sunderland on your arses :p

Chuck me in, and I'm dragging you with me!

I'll be there, and this year I'm driving from France with 3 friends (1st trip to AT for 2 of them).
We'll leave on Friday evening and travel all night long. We hope to arrive at the park at about 9.00 on Saturday. :-D

Wow, you're dedicated! Don't think I'd travel from France just for Towers! :p

Well my friends just want to see something different from EP, so I told them Fireworks is a good idea :p

And this is not only about Towers, but also about Fireworks (Saw them last year and it's definitly worth coming again) and the last meet of the season.

Alton Towers has some world class rides. It is always going to be very appealing to international enthusiasts. We just visit so often that not only do we take some things for granted, we see a lot more of the flaws.

:)

The park does have some very good rides and the fireworks tend to be some of the best around. Its just that the rest of the time, the park struggles to be anything special. Doesn't stand out from the others (falls short on most things tbh) and that's very bad considering its meant to be the best of British.

Well, this will be my first meet of the year, and I've chosen the last day of the season for it. Brilliant move Niques.

I'll be there on the Sunday, and staying over on the Sunday evening. Yay.
