Lagoon: General Discussion

Well... Ummm, I'm ever so slightly lost for words right now! The drop is complete and does unfortunately appear to have trims, though looking at it that is probably for the best. That said however, they are only small trim on the very top of the drop!

This thing is ugly as hell... But my God, that drop! :p

Holy crap! I actually think the trims might make it better, gives a little more anticipation as you go over the edge. And it's still going to pick up quite some speed. Can't wait to see this when it's running!

:)

It might not be all that comfortable without the trims, it's looking pretty damn steep! :p

When will people learn that the further you get from vertical, the less steep a drop gets?

This fad will be looked back on and mocked in years to come.

Apart from B&M dive machines, I don't really find there vertical and beyond vertical drops appealing. They are something and nothing, not really to forceful. I'm hoping the trend moves away from them

It's much less trimmed than the current record holder, which is a good thing.

I do 'get' beyond-vertical drops, but the only one I've been on didn't do anything for me.

A new photo has emerged of the now completed first inversion, the Immelmann... Well, at least that's what everybody seems to think it is! It's certainly one funky looking dive back down and the loop looks rather tight at the top!

This ride is seriously shaping up to be... An interesting one! I have to admit from the couple of computer generated layouts, I can't quite work out what it does next! So it will be great to see it develop further.

Another photo from LagoonIsFun.com's Facebook page showing a tight looking helix:

That does look very tight indeed, especially seeing as it's pretty much the only low part of the layout!

That video was posted by Christensen Coasters over on 'LagoonIsFun' and is pretty much confirmed to be the final layout of the ride! It certainly looks pretty realistic when compared to the artwork we have seen, I have to say, it should be a pretty nippy ride! Looks great :D

Part of the layout reminds me a lot of The Smiler. Looks like it could be really good fun as long as it is nice and smooth.

:)

Seen this on TPR, a comparision between the layouts of Cannibal and Wicked. Show how big Cannibal is:

Just found this on Reddit. It appears that some bits of track have arrived with LSM's attached.

I don't seem to recall hearing about these?
