Lightwater Valley

The group that owns LWV is pretty strong financially, so I'm assuming they're willing to pump some money into LWV to try and get things going. All sounds quite promising, especially if the lodge side of things actually goes ahead!

Group? Isn't it an independent park?

And I'm certain they've always been pretty vocal about not having much dosh to invest.

That's pretty great news! Doesn't look a cheap bit of kit at all (anyone know the price?).

I'm trying to think or where it could go and it surely has to be by Raptor Attack considering the dinosaur theme. I hope the exterior of the presumably-new building isn't a cheap-looking job. Also, whilst this will be a great addition for the park (and the UK), I can't help but think a headline coaster is really needed. Saying that, it's often said the park lacks undercover attractions so at least this will go some way to addressing that.

In less good news, I've just tried to go on Valley Mania to check this news and it appears it's shut down for good. It was in decline ever since Nathan (who'd done a great job) passed it onto T Park's Meames, but it looks like he's given up which is a shame - it was a site that for a long time had an excellent relationship with the park.

Movie Park Germany's version was around 5 million euros, so £3.7million. Quite a bit in comparison to past additions. And yes, Valley Mania closed a couple of months back now, shame really but I guess interest ultimately wained in the park :(.

I find it hard to believe that a park that hasn't had any significant investment for many years, has such poor catering options, and disgusting cleanliness, can suddenly afford something as substantial as this.

And going by what has been said on Coasterforce, it appears VM was taken down due to an altercation between VM and LWV. I know things got heated between them because LWV couldn't accept the (deserved) criticism. (Did you see their response to the dirty toilet complaint?!)

I'll just paste my response from CoasterForce to save time...

The vintage cars were picked up from Loudoun Castle back when they bought Powder Kegs and the rest of Skeleton Cove.

The original plan (2012 IIRC) was to have the vintage cars replace Skate Karts and tie it in with Raptor Attack, which would then form the beginnings a new themed area. With news of dinosaur themed adventure golf and a simulator, I'm guessing the original plans are now afoot. It'll be a shame to see Skate Karts removed, but I can understand it from a business perspective.

I'm guessing the simulator is also why the park placed Whirlwind on the market last year - both to make room for it and provide the necessary funds, as I can't imagine they come cheap. It'll be a fantastic addition for the park though, so kudos.

And hello... long time! :)

I wonder if it has anything to do with the lodges? They'll want a nice fresh line-up to use as a selling point for the lodges

^ As I said on the other page, are they still going ahead with "Lightwater Resorts" as I haven't heard or seen anything on it for a long while, it was supposed to open this year.

Of lodges do come, I reckon 2017 with enchanted village and sim word in 2015 and 2016

The rollercoaser database which doesn't contain any information about rides other than, err, rollercoasters?
Well, only that, the address and phone number, link to the park's website, links to multiple map sites, a brief history of the park etc...

What? I know exactly what Movie Park is. I think you've misunderstood my question. I want to know what this "tunnel" attraction is. I know what Movie Park is and have planned several trips there in the past, none of which have ever materialised.
