After changing my outlook on theme parks upon actually riding rides instead off getting drunk would like to hear people's opinions on different coasters so would you fine people count Harry Potter forbidden journey as one also grand national as 2 and steeplechase as 3

I'd count Harry Potter: Escape from Gringotts, but I don't think I'd count Forbidden Journey because it's mainly just a flat ride that moves about :p

Grand National is 2, one for each side.
Steeplechase is 3, one for each rail.

:D

This made me snort :p
I'm going to echo what John said on Saturday - 'it's only two credits if you can express a meaningful preference for one side over another'. That is to say, Grand National is one, Steeplechase... is one, bloody Vleermuis at Plopsaland... is one.

Whereas Joris en le Draak, Stampida, Winjas etc. are two. I don't know enough about the Harry Potter rides to comment :p

How about the one at Amsterdam dungeons it's only like 250 ft long

So? I'd rather watch a good movie, or have a night out with mates then spend money on a credit just so I can increase it by a single digit.

Right then a quick one do people count space mountain mission 1 and 2 at Disneyland Paris as one credit or two

It's the same track, so it's the same cred. I don't count a ride that's been relocated if I went on it at it's original location, so I sure as hell won't count a ride that hasn't moved, but just been renamed. ;)

Ahh didn't know whether it had been completely rebuilt cheers

Would Steel Phantom and Phantom's Revenge at Kennywood count as two different creds? As it was completely rebuilt.

Also would Lightnin Loops at Six Flags Great Adventure count as two creds or one? It was an Arrow shuttle coaster like Revolution at BPB is, and RCDB lists it as two different coasters.

I'd count Phantom's Revenge as new, as after the 2nd drop it's a completely different ride.

Lightning Loops was unquestionably 2, as it was 2 entirely separate coasters that operated independently and one was removed several years before the other. Both were relocated and one still operates whilst the other has since been scrapped.

Phantom's Revenge is definately a new coaster compared to Steel Phantom. But a minor retrack / reprofile like PMBO had doesn't count.
Though we should probably define a cut off point. What about Tornado at M&D's? Does replacing a corkscrew with a non inverting piece of track count? I'd be tempted to say no, as the rest of the ride is unchanged.
