How Busy?

Smiler aside, you'll be looking at 20-45 minutes for major rides.

Get the Smiler done last thing.

During school trip season, weekends, particularly Sundays, can be especially quiet!

Can't wait till I can drive... have to rely on my dad, who actually doesn't like Alton towers .

Although... if I could drive, I think I'd live there.

Of course. He does like nemesis but doesn't like the walking.

He was one of the first people on it in 1994

I never actually realised how far the old nemesis que extended until my visit yesterday. Jesus christ it must be a good mile long at least!

(it wasn;t very busy for a school season day, and after 3 oclock everything was walk on)

Will there be any days during the school holidays (summer or other, as long as it is during this year, and the park is open) that are quite. Have a pass to bring a friend but can only use it during the holidays.

Best bet is pretty much tuesdays to thursdays in any week I think. It's a sweeping rule across most parks, these days are the least busy because people tend to work mid week, even during the holidays. Other then that, I believe it'll be pretty much the same sort of crowds most of the holidays, but these days during the week tend to be the least busy.

5th of October...

Got a PD day at school, and would like to take a friend. It's a Monday. Few days before scarefest. Other schools don't have it off. Is it a good idea to go that day, and how long would queues be?

Thanks!

Should be quiet. Weeks running up to Scarefest usually are. Not sure precisely on queue times but I would say 30-45 minutes max for the very major attractions, depending on what's open.

From experience last year, I was there 3 days before Scarefest, it was so quiet there came a point where I physically couldn't ride another coaster I had been on them that much. :(
Im SORRY! I tried, but couldn't face one more inversion

I'll be visiting sometime at the end of August. Just by looking at the queue times website, I'm not really expecting huge queues for rides

My visit today, everything was walk on bar a 5 minute wait for Rita on front row at 11, Air was a 5 minute queue and later advertised as 10, Spinball and various CBeebies rides peaked at 50, and food stalls just aren't being staffed, so less upsellers and more ride time. Win win for the consumer of present, oh no for the wallets and marketing department of Towers enthusiasts and workers in the future.
