The Mirror was reporting earlier that Th13teen went down due to a power cut - I know it's not exactly a trustworthy source but if that is indeed the case, can we expect to see it immediately reopen? Visiting on Sunday and really was looking forwards to introducing the ride to unsuspecting friends, would be gutted if Th13teen was down.

I think all the rides reported as breaking down today reopened after they had issues.

Power cuts don't usually effect the rides long term.

Overhyped and sensationalised by The Mirror - so nothing unusual there. I'm pretty sure Th13teen will be open tomorrow.

A large marquee has been erected for the national enterprise challenge at the bottom of towers street

On the park at the moment. Very quiet. Not as many school parties as last time I visited this time of year. Son is disappointed he is now too tall for the bouncy castles in Wobble World - it means he is tall enough for all the coasters though.

My school normally brings at least 7 busses all the way from sunny Scotland but this year we only got 4 busses:eek:

I'm going to Alton Towers with school on the 16th, usually we have at least 5-6 buses, i'm guessing this time we'll have a lot less because I know of plenty of people who aren't going now. It's a shame.

On that note, how busy should it be, it's closer to the end of term and with the number of school trips significantly less, how busy? (sorry if it's in the wrong place, just thought it would be an opportunistic time to ask the question).

When I was there with school on a Thursday also (there were 2 other schools in) it was walk on until about 11 then it was about 10-20 mins on nemy, air and blivy, Rita about 30-35 and 13 went from 5 mins to 45 mins every half hour or so.

Hope you have a great time ( wish I was going too :()
Hope this helps

When I whent 2 years ago that time of year, it was 40 minutes for things like enterprise. But this year, I would expect significantly shorter queues, maybe 30-50 minutes for nemesis, and 1 hour for 13 and sonic. Still, if it's a school trip, I'd expect to leave the school around 9:30-10:00 and leave at 2:30 ish, so don't expect to get much done.

Have a good day.

They should stop using science and physics to have fun and go sit in a stuffy room with a tweed wearing science teacher using 1960's ministry of information science films.

:D

Never had these trips in my day. The best we could hope for was the London Planetarium.
