It is not a ride i personally enjoy.
Had anyone else noticed the god dam awfull smell enimating from the fusty foul water in the nemesis pit?

well she been there for 21 years, how long do you think she can going on hold her waste in :D

Got the monorail back at 3pm this afternoon and saw Ripsaw in full swing with passengers on. :)

I'm really astonished that for a Saturday in the middle of summer these are the queue times were seeing. I don't think I've seen it so quiet this time of year. How long will it take for them to recover..?

we all knew the Smiler accident will have an effect on numbers, but even after this time I would have thought that park numbers would have bounced back a bit more than now.
as long as all the spending budgets will stay and Towers dont start cutting back due to lost revenue I'm not gonna complain, ultimate ride time :)

As well as the lower attendance recently, a lot of people won't visit during the summer because they have been some time over the last couple of weeks on school trips. Though these are extremely low queue times.

I got a 30% off a hotel stay offer this morning. £89 for 2 people at splash landing sounds good.

Wow.

It's the first day of the school holidays, it shouldn't be this quiet. Why is it this quiet, I never even thought the smiler could have this much of an impact. This is a bad year for them. I just hope they can recover soon.

I think this helps show how important new rides are and for how many years they continue to bring people in. It may also just be fear from people who are scared of going now.

Yes, some people are generally surprised when i say it hasn't changed me wanting to go to the park or ride the smiler.

I doubt guest figures will recover fully until Scarefest/Fireworks now. Although the 'Towers Tastic' marketing might help in some ways over the summer.

The first couple of weeks of the school holidays are normally quite quiet anyway, but I think the Smiler's crash has made it look a lot worse. Hopefully, things will pick up eventually.

I'm surprised by the number of "isn't it really dangerous there now?" and "do you feel safe on the rides?" type comments I've got when talking to friends about AT visits ... I suppose it's hard (as an enthusiast!) to get in the mindset of the general public :( I know of a school that usually takes 600 pupils to AT at this time of year ... this year they're taking around 150 - some because parents won't allow the kids to go and some because the pupils are genuinely scared of going on the rides at AT and have actively chosen to go on a different trip

We know that the stats confirm that you unlikely to have an accident at a theme park, but it seems that public confidence around the safety at AT has been seriously dented by the Smiler incident and the resulting media attention.

I'm not sure attendances are going to pick back up much before ScareFest this year ... which is great for ride counts for us fearless souls but not so great for gate receipts and future investment in the park.
