Scarefest 2015

Are there still queues for the mazes even with the time slot tickets or do you get on relatively quick?

Queues have regularly been in excess of 45 minutes even for the pay mazes in previous years; particularly in the evenings they do seem to get surprisingly busy.

So a few bits about Scarefest I can confirm.
WARNING MAY CONTAIN MINOR SPOILERS

As posted above Molly Crowe enters in X sector, it's behind fried chicken where the tunnel to the towers is. Interesting it also exits through the same door, but I won't give any more away about that. The actors do touch you and not just helping you along, and you do wear a bag over your head.

Terror of the towers enters near the exit for Hex, through a door that hasn't been used before.

I believe it uses most of the Sanctuarys upper section. It then exits where the Sanctury used to enter.

Sub species I haven't don but I think this enters where TOTT used to enter and roll ext where the shipping containers are.

Anyway I won't give anymore as way, but I'm very much looking forward to Scarefest this year!

This is quite interesting. A blog on the Alton Towers website that talks about the making of Scarefest. Doesn't go into many major details, but it has a few and is worth a read.

I would like to know if it's worth doing the mazes, I'm gona have to pay for 3 people with map discount. Never been to scarefest before, one guy is a towers virgin. We originally planned on just doing the rides in the dark but since the smiler isn't going to be open and attendance has been down we might do the rides fairly quick.

Normally the mazes are much longer and more atmospheric than Thorpe's mazes. I wont know for sure though till we do them around 18:30 tomorrow

Not keen on where ToTT enters this year at all, but a change is always good so hopefully the maze layout inside will impress. Sub Species: TEG is having exceptional reviews come in from previews earlier this week, some suggesting we're extremely lucky to have such a quality attraction in the UK. Haven't heard much from THOMC, however I have heard the finale is exceptional. Some new props appear to be placed in Forbidden Valley too, including many broken vehicles for the Scare Zone.

I'm very excited by the prospect of Molly Crowe queuing through the tunnels, I think that is a great move & it'll be very atmospheric in the dark down there too.

Very excited for tomorrow!

Would agree with not liking the way the entrances are set up. Using the conservatory as an entrance rather than an exit was always welcomed. It was very atmospheric as the entrance to ToTT and then when it changed over to Sactuary was perfectly set up thematically.

There are so many entrances and exits around the Towers it seems somewhat bizarre that they're doing it this way. Unless they had problems working out a route of course.

Anyone heard anything (no spoilers ;)) about TotT this year?

scatefest is looking good this year. Makes a difference to the last few years of nothing (much) new.

Getting excited now

Thank you! Also what I'm liking at the minute is the new 'Scare' section on Ride Times, with Enterprise, Heave Ho, Maruader's Mayhem and The Blade! :')
Didn't know about that. I'll have a look.

Anybody else having problems with the links on the scarefest page to the scare maze pages?
