Events in Paris - 13/11/2015 - Terrorist Attacks

When the IRA was a thing, there was no social media for people to spout codswallop on.

Accepted. However that doesn't mean that people's views weren't the same, it just means the audience wasn't as big. Joan and Phylis might have expressed their opinions over the garden fence, which a vast majority would disagree with, but then their conversation never went any further than between them.

I'm of the opinion that if someone is going to become radicalised and is determined to cause such damage, then they will. It doesn't matter how long they've been in a country for, nor how they got there. The root cause is still the same - a key central force with the ability to alter someone's perception on life and manipulate their emotional drivers to kill.

I don't care whether we've accepted refugees from abroad, because you can bet your sorry behind that there have been more foiled plots inside this country born from individuals with British passports before the mass movement of people even started.

Close the borders? Eerrr.. You'll only be closing the threat IN as far as I'm concerned. If the intent is to maim and kill within our shores, then the required figures will already be here and in place.

when will this sorry excuse for a woman get blown up... :\

Kay Burley is facing a fierce backlash on social media, after an ill-advised tweet from Paris.

The TV presenter posted an image of a Golden Retriever dog with the caption: "Sadness in his eyes #parisattacks"

Burley's picture has been retweeted more than 2,000 times since it was posted earlier today, and many Twitter users condemned the tweet, calling it insensitive and inappropriate following theterrorist attacks on Friday night (November 13).

There's been some crazy shouts in this thread but I think my favourite so far is "Why don't they stay in Greece?"

Greece.

Greece.

And imagine buying the passport thing. Bomb that destroys the user and can kill dozens but a bit of paper survives unscathed? Sure.

Keep the ellipses and the "wake up"s and the "bleeding hearts/soft touches/etc" coming guys, I'm enjoying this.

UPDATE: Confirmation the passports are fake.

The thing that these lot have not bothered to learn from the IRA is why bother to actually do bombings and killings when you can just sit at home phone in a threat to, say, the London underground and close down a massive part of the network without doing anything.

I seem to remember once being in London when that happened. It was probably in the last days of the IRA when they were not as powerful as they once were.
