Hi I am looking to book one of the enchanted village lodges in early april, with theme park and waterpark tickets

Is it really true that me, my wife and 3 children cannot go in the waterpark together?

We have 2, 3 year old boys who both can swim, and 1, 7 year old girl who is a excellent swimmer and very competent in the water

Obviously we would all be together at all times but looking at alton towers they don't seem to think we can watch our 3 kids between us to allow us all in the waterpark together is that right?

Thanks

Mark

The waterpark ratio does seem to imply that you wouldn't be able to due to the young age of your children:

However, it would be worth ringing Towers or contacting them on social media to check for sure though!

I was trying to look up All Day Dining costs on the website. There is info about it but no costs and no way to book it? Thanks.

I could create a separate thread for this, but asking in here first. Which rides are the most popular amongst the general fan base of AT? I'm assuming Nemesis is number 1, maybe Oblivion 2 and Air or The Smiler 3?

...Apologies in advance if so! I'm just on looking at dates to come down to Towers this year and I noticed they're closed on loads of Tuesdays & Wednesdays...it's more out of nosiness than anything but does anyone know why?

Also has anyone visited mid/late May? I visited early May last year and queues were a dream but wondered if it'd be busier end of May (weekdays). Although guess it might be hard to gauge this year.

Cheers!

I think the midweek closures are a result of those dates being historically quiet, to the point where the park does not benefit financially from opening.

Oh so they've done it then?

So the days people can go without it being horrific because they've closed a ton of rides are now also closed.

Anyone else want to metaphorically punch Merlin in the face as much as I do, for just being utter cretins?

I've always tried to do the Towers strictly off peak only,
I bet the Mondays and Thursdays of the weeks they are closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays will still be pretty quiet,
that is when I'll be visiting anyway.

With the exception of Scarefest half term week and Fireworks... You know the park has been consistently dead since The Smiler crash, right?

There are unlikely to be any "horrific" days since guest figures are so low.

I'm more concerned about several rides and attractions (potentially) being SBNO this season, rather than mid week park closures.

Yes but that won't be a long term problem.

Forgive my skepticism of Merlin, but even if visitor figures increased I would be surprised if this trend was then also reversed.

As I said right from the start of joining this forum, it's not particular actions I watch with Merlin - it's trends.

In theory, will this not make the usually quieter Mondays and Fridays on the weeks where it's closing Tuesdays/Wednesdays busier than they historically would have been also, because visitors hoping to visit on a Tuesday for example will swap to the Monday along with usual Monday visitors? This meaning it will be busier on a usually quiet Monday of a quiet week than it was 2 years ago for example. Damn you Merlin, damn you!!

I know it might not necessarily work out exactly like that, but I envisage it will have some effect. Damn them!!!

Aw that's pants! We'll be coming down from Scotland and obviously prefer to come down off peak - first time we came down it was so busy we barely managed to get on the "Big 6" despite being there all day (2.5hr wait for The Smiler, don't think we'll need to worry about that this time....) but we went off peak second time and it was loads quieter and managed to get on everything twice. Hedging my bets about when to come as well because I don't want to come so early The Smiler hasn't reopened...
