Re: the above image.

Now I obviously wasn't expecting a complete re-theme or anything like that, but I'd have atleast thought they would replace the old seats and restraints with new ones since they have chunks out of them along with mould patches.

You can't really expect to see a 'new' ride with half worn out hardware and theming.

I know there's still time until April but at the very least I'd expect the trains to look new again.

I'd imagine that is where the headset is stored if you choose not to wear it or for there are empty seats.

:)

Hmmmmm

Looks like the way a cheap after-market in-car Argos DVD set does but shoved in a non branded waterproof "Go Outdoors" rucksack.

In fairness, I didn't really know what to expect, I just guess it wasn't like something we could fit ourselves...

I really didn't like air to ride that much, doesn't tend to agree with me that's all, but I always loved how graceful & aside from the obvious, dare I say "classy" it was.

I know times move on yada yada but surely, progression, is fixing things that are wrong - not wrecking the bits that are right?

If this ends up just looking like they've attached an old X-Box and some oversized sunglasses in some crappy cheap looking bags they really will have not given this ride the respect it deserves IMO.

OMG it so does!

Yeah I was like what the hell but I completely agree with everything you say. It's not my cup of tea but love the engineering behind it and was kinda classy... Simplistic.

I'm guessing image is not what they are going for as it's not a new coaster. And it's all about what the rider experiences rather than the onlooker.

Going against the whole idea of Wardley's conception of theatre.

I agree with you entirely, and I guess most people won't actually give a crap, but then, if we can't, who can?

That looks so... cheap. Surely when installing a new high tech experience you try to embed it into the current system. Everything held on with velcro and a bum bag in front looks very amateur.

Air has always had a very simple high tech look to its trains, this cheapens that look.
