Newbie question about hotel booking

Hello,

My family (from Belgium) will be visiting Alton Towers for the first time this July ! We are so excited.
I have booked a package from the website ; and I wonder whether park entry tickets are included ?

I read on TowerStreet they were not automatically sold with a hotel booking and a first e-mail from Alton Towers told me I need to purchase additional tickets ! I did ask for a second confirmation before I buy these entry tickets...

I often visit european theme parks and this is totally new to me.

When I look at my online reservation, I see this : "Price includes tickets, hotel, breakfast & VAT"

Also, I did receive a page (separate from the hotel booking) with what appears to me to be entry tickets : "Alton Towers Save up to 30%, 2 days + 1 day Free / Park Date : XXX / Ticket : 1 x Adult / This voucher cannot be re-sold under any circumstances. Tickets are not to be used in conjunction with any other offer, promotion bla bla bla"

What's your experience with this ?
Thanks a million for your help !

Hi there Myksiame!

It sounds to me like you do have tickets included in your hotel package. However if I was you I would give them a ring to confirm it; you can call hotel reservations on 0871 222 1100, have your booking reference number with you and they should know.

Hope that helps!

:)

Hi,

Thanks very much for your feed-back ! I received another e-mail from Alton Towers saying I had the tickets included indeed. Guess they answered too fast the first time !

Anyhow, I am really anxious to visit your park for the first time (even though it's only in July...). Everything seems great from what I read and see !

I'm sure you will have a great time, given it's your first time at the park! Don't read into the discussion/ranting on this forum too much, it's mostly from us miserable gits who visit the park every week and complain about the fences... :p

Few hints and tips for you @Myksiame

You'll need to eat in one of the hotel restaurants or the new Rollercoaster Restaurant, you can book them online https://bda.livebookings.net/Mobile/RestaurantLocations and I would advise you do before you arrive as they can get booked up.
You can eat in any you like it doesn't matter if its in a certain hotel or not.

The 2 main hotels (Alton Towers Hotel & Splash Landings Hotel) are linked via an indoor walkway so you can go between the two for food, drinks and entertainment quite easily. The walkway takes you through the waterpark which is ok if you've got a few hours spare on the trip.

Don't forget you get free parking as a hotel resident, when you arrive follow all signs for the hotels not just the car park ones. And you get ERT (early ride time) a handful of rides are open an hour before the park officially opens.

Have a great time.

Thanks a million Ben !
I will make restaurant reservations, for sure ; and my daughter wants to try the rollercoaster one ;-)
We are staying in the Enchanted Village by the way.

How mang nights/days on park do you have? :)

We are staying in the Enchanted Village in July too :) stayed at the ATH before but this time we wanted a bit more space!

We will be there for 2 nights !
Our choice was based on the theme ; the girls preferred the atmosphere of the Village...

I've got my dinner reservations in via book atable and the dedicated roller coaster restaurant site.

Hello,

I apologize in advance ; because I am sure this has been discussed elsewhere before but I don't have time to read the whole forum...

Do you know if (and when) the 2 following attractions will re-open : Hex and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory ?

Thanks !

Charlie is highly unlikely to open as the same ride as the IP has run out and almost certainly won't be open this season. Hex is getting some TLC and had issues with the ride system parking correctly so I highly doubt this will open this season either unfortunately.

Don't worry though you'll have a whale of a time still! Hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

Too bad for Charlie ; the kids saw the video on YouTube and really wanted to go :-(
In any event, I have no doubt we'll have a great time !
I did not plan on visiting the Waterpark ; but maybe we will after all, we'll see once we're there !

In the mean time, I already booked a table at the Roller Coaster Restaurant and at the Crooked Spoon !
