This Saturday there were hardly any queues. Smiler was 5 minutes. Galactica an hour by the end of the day, everything else was walk on. Was really, really quiet on the park for an Easter bank holiday weekend. Apparently Good Friday was busy though.

Still amused at how The Smiler, Rita and Thirteen are the beacons of reliability so far this season whilst the B&M's are breaking down!

Oblivion went down around half 3 / 4 ish yesterday I think. When we went to ride it people were being evacuated from the break run and it was down for the rest of the day with engineers looking like they were working on the break run.
Hahaha I was on the car ready to go up when it broke down, my mate was having a right panic about going on it so lucky escape for him, seemed to be a sensor issue, they climbed up the hill and pressed the buttons Sutton no good. I did wonder how they would get people off the car that was on the break run

From what I saw I think they just released their harness and walked them down the break run. No idea what the issue was but when we saw it was down we went and rode the smiler for a bit. About an hour later we looked again and they were still working on the break run with the ride still closed.

Yeah we just went on the smiler a couple of times gave up with Oblivion, shame really it stopped me getting the big 6 done :(

And to continue the curse...
Nemesis on one train all afternoon today.
First time I have had to queue for the majestic beast in about five years.
Smiler however was walk on.

Nemesis seems to have had a few issues this season so far. It's had a few days when it has been closed for periods of when it has been only running one train.

As posted on TowersStreet's Facebook, Rita appears to have stalled this morning:

Oh dear, wait for it to end up in the rags

Really surprised they haven't closed off the entire area and kept the skyride closed. Given how easily the media can latch on to this and all that...

Sorry, probably a bad question, but how can Rita stall there? (Has to be a failure during the launch, right?)

This is the first stall (while the parks been open) at towers since the smiler. Expect those images to be stolen by the tabloids.

Not enough power during the launch and rolled back from the first hill most likely. Regarding the press nicking the images, they'd have to ask permission first, which I'm sure TS won't give, but it will ultimately be Graeme's decision.

Update: The train is now back in the station.

I'm sure that they've used images and information before regarding ride closures and the smiler.

Yeah that is a strange place for it to stop, unless like has been said, it didnt have enough power and this is the result of it doing a roll back..... though I would have expected it to roll back a bit more than this onto the brakes.... I dont thinkk there are many brakes in that section,..
