As well as the golden oatcakes, Alton Towers Resort will be running a series of social media competitions in the run-up to Staffordshire Day, including a 'How Do You Eat Your Oatcake?' promotion.

Well I've seen nothing about this on any of their social media. With less than 4 days to go they are cutting it a bit find :/

Spoke too soon. Think they heard

.....or if there is an even amount of numbers in your group visiting, it might be easier to purchase a promotional Kellogg's neutral grain bars (or any one of their other cereal promotional packs) and simple use the 2-4-1 voucher on the box and visit any day of your choice ;)

Annual Pass renewal query......

It's coming up to that time of year when I have to look at renewing. Looking at the Merlin website, it seems that it's £160 to renew my premium pass. I also have over £50 in clubcard points so could get the standard one through clubcard.

3 questions really. Is there any way to renew the premium pass through Merlin for less than £160? How much is the upgrade in the box office at AT from standard to premium pass? Is it still £50? Also, do AT still do their own season pass or similar? Thanks for your advice in advance! :)

You can still buy an Alton Towers annual pass, for £120 (new) or £100 (renewal). You can even renew using your current MAP (I renewed my Towers pass last year to a Merlin Standard this year). :)

Does the AT season pass include parking? Parking is the main reason I get a premium Merlin pass. If so, do you reckon I could take my expiring Merlin pass and renew to an Alton season pass for £100? Cheers bud ;)

It does indeed include parking! :)

OK, that's good :)

Think I might renew from the Merlin pass to the AT one then for £100 (assuming that's defo possible), then use my Tesco clubcard points in the last ever double up event this month. Nice one :)

Good stuff. You'll be amazed at how many staff members don't realise the ATAP even exists when using it for discount! :p

It's a odd one that towers seem to deny all existence of their own pass, it's deeply hidden away on the website and there is no mention of it on park.

Yet you go to Thorpe park and they push their own annual pass way more than the Merlin annual pass.

Don't know how long this has been on for or if anyone has posted it before but the Cadburys Buttons treat bags (and I'm assuming all of the other treat bags) have 2 for 1 tickets on them that you can use in all the Merlin Attractions until 31/07/2017
