The first weekday closure is tomorrow so we will have to wait and see.

I have a hotel stay booked in May however i am getting park tickets separately, even though i haven't booked the park tickets with the hotel are we still entitled to ERT? As i remember from my last stay all they required to see was a copy of the hotel booking, however this was nearly 3 years ago and i may have been mistaken.

As far as I am aware you will be entitled to ERT yes, regardless of where your tickets are from. You'll just need to show the card thingy they give you at check in which has details of your stay on it.

:)

I need some info on Oblivion please!

My son has been going towers every year since age of 6 he now 14.The only ride at the park he has never rode is oblivion. It looks pretty intense that drop and thats the reason he not keen on the idea!
I would like to know how intense the drop is and how it compares to say 13's or sub-terras drop sensation/feel?
With any luck he will try it tomoz as like ripsaw it looks worse off ride than it is riding it.

Cheers all!

Another question with oblivion. Does the drop come rough if there are very people on it? The person I was with said it was unusually rough and there were only 5 I think onboard.

Oblivion is a completely different experience to other drop rides. It builds up much more tension, and is a much scarier experience than most, though the drop itself is (for me at least) not as intense, and unlike sub terra (where the seats drop in a random sequence I believe) you can count three seconds from the moment the train stops and know exactly when it will drop :)

Don't think your going to be doing ripsaw though :p

Oblivion doesn't give the "gut lurch" feeling you get from drop towers, because you are facing the direction you are falling, rather than sitting upright. However, it is absolutely terrifing the first time you ride it.
... And the second, come to think of it. But eventually you get over that. Take it from someone who hates drop rides: Even if you are bricking it at the top, you'll come out the other side of the hole with a massive grin on your face. ;)

I always like best when the restraints aren't tight enough and you are able to move about, when you drop and leave your seat, that free fall... oh yes!
Best ride on Blivvy for me was when I got a restraint pop on the drop! :D

Man, I remember my first "restraint pop". It was back when I was still scared by 'blivy. Masonry left my body at that moment!

Wait... What do you mean restraint pop? You mean the restraint pops to the next notch up mid ride? Never had that before, can't say I'm too upset either ;).

Yep, exactly that, on the drop. Was pretty cool I thought! :p

Blivys drop still takes my breath away even tho I've been on it loads.
It's not scary just a buzz
