Sky news currently reporting on it with some photos. Looks nasty surprisingly no fatalities. In relation to the Smiler incident this in terms of the failure is on the same level but injuries don't look as bad.

I'm actually staying at a caravan site nearby right now, can hear lots of sirens and the air ambulance is overhead. Sounds pretty nasty.

My mate's mate (I know!) was there with her kid and she said it looks horrific. Still people trapped when she was there. I don't live that far but I've never been so not familiar with what the coaster is like.

It's a travelling Pinfari invert.

Looking at the facts so far it seems a miracle if there aren't any deaths. Derailed fully at 30ft, and with those exposed invert designs it won't have had much in the way of cushioning.

This will hurt Towers just as confidence in rollercoaster riding in the UK was finally starting to improve again, Smiler comparisons in the press inevitable. Hope everyone is OK and injuries are minor only.

That photo on the Sky News link...I don't think I can see any emergency services. Do you think it's landed that way?!

ETA: the first photo I mean, where it looks upside down on top of the kiddies ride?

I think they mentioned that the public were helping but the images could be very soon after.

Looks like significant mechanical failure there, can't really be anything else, can it.

Thoughts with all for a speedy recovery.

Looking at the RCDB photo, it looks to have derailed and landed on top of the kiddies ride. :(
