Phantasialand: General Discussion

So... most definitely a mixed pot of things here, many outstanding, some less so.
The area looks very well packaged, as has become expected from the park. The new plaza with the various eateries and outlets really does look amazing. The music sounds good, and the theming on the rides looks really good, too. The costumes for staff and landscaped gardening effort is also to be highly commended. It's another chocolate in a delicious selection that is Phantasialand!
However, I most certainly don't think the area looks quite as immersive as Deep in Africa. Why? The track is too stand-alone due to the nature of the layout, unlike Black Mamba. Not that this is a major issue for me, just an observation. Also, the layout - it isn't going to be quite the airtime feast it could have been, but still I am sure it will be bags of fun. The coasters also lack special effects and the like to just add a little to them.

Agree. When you expect perfection and it is amazing but not perfect, you are a tiny bit annoyed with the ride. Hope trees grow as it looks a bit bland- just black, grey and brown

Gut feeling is that may have been something that they wanted or intended to do, but either budget or maybe time prevented them from doing so. Perhaps they'll tweak it as time goes on.

Given the cash they've thrown at this thing, I doubt this is down to budget. I think I'd rather take a 5 year old on it as it is, rather than it being pitch black and the like.
Also, that said - although Taron looks phenomenal it's actually pretty static and the surroundings are the 'wow' factor, rather than effects and the like. Perhaps that's on purpose.
