Does anyone know if the Woodland Walk shortcut between the hotel and Forbidden Valley is still open due to the extension that's currently being built and if it is, what times is it open at?
No, it's currently closed. However, for ease of access to the hotels, the guest access gate to the Rollercoaster Restaurant opens as the park closes. :)

I spotted a tamper tag, that is visible to the staff as the gondola passes thought the station. when i was last at AT

Can anyone help with a picsolve query for a walkabout photo please?
We had two pics first thing today, asked at rita to view, she showed on screen and added to dig pass, when I checked it was a rita pic :-( so I went to Towers Street the same lovely guy who took the pic, showed it on screen amd added it. It's just come through and it's another family :-(.
I know the number of our ticket would anyone know the prefix to try it as a manual type in?
I really wouldn't bother normally but the pic was in front of the scarfest car and we had an actual crow on top!!

I can't really help you out there, but towers are normally quite helpful. They respond quite quickly on Facebook or email, and should help you out.

Sounds like they were having problems with the Digipass or photos, so it might not just be you.

Towers will put you through to Picsolve as its a Picsolve issue
When I had an issue with photos Picsolve was pretty useless though and basically couldn't do anything over the phone (this was regarding missing walkabout photos)
Hopefully they will be more helpful with you and you will get sorted.

This happened to me on my last visit. I got home and a couple of my on-ride digi photos were not of me  I just simple delete them, but I'll get more photos on my next visit.

The other thing that I find a pain with the digi passes, is that there is no simple fast track for getting your photos scanned into your digi pass. It should be quick and easy, but often held up in a queue of people who can't make up there minds which photo package that they wish to purchase and the Picsolve sales team is taken ages to explain all the different photo package options

Couldn't find the answer anywhere else on the forum, but wanted to double check...

Do we know whether the infamous 'Gypsy Day' is still likely to be the first Sunday of Scarefest (9th)?
Probably only going to manage one trip this Autumn, so I don't want anything to mess it up :p

Yes. This was discussed on page 57. Come on, keep up!

I have 3 questions regarding the fireworks

1) Can you use the Cadburys 2 for 1 vouchers during the fireworks?
2) Where is the best place to stand to watch the fireworks?
3) What time should I start making my way down to Towers Street to watch the fireworks?

Thanks! I've never been to the fireworks before so I'd like to know where would be the best place to see them from and what time to go haha

1. I don't know, check the small print/T&C's on voucher or message the customer services.
2. Depends if you want to be up front and close then the front of the lake, or if you want to stand back and watch the whole spectacular like a large stage show (to get in all the lights effects), then standing back is great, to get a good viewing vantage point, I know that some regulars aim for the large raised up green just at the bottom of Tower street, the one where the Scarefest car sits on. Standing on the front edge of the wall gives you an elevated position over people standing in front of you. Don't aim for the wall situated outside the Towers Street restaurant, this has been used in the the past as the disable viewing and last year as the VIP viewing, you will be told not to stand on the wall. Also don't stand underneath a tree as the branches/leaves will block your view. As a general rule, if you can see the Towers and the sky above it, then you will get a good view.
3. If you want to guarantee a place, the earlier the better. I've seen people securing their spot as early as 4 to 5 pm.

Another tip, if parking in the Car park, get there early and park near the exit barriers, other wise getting out could take a very long time. Paying for express parking next to the main entrance might also be worth considering. Also the there will be various ways to exit the Themepark on the night, going by the past events, you can also exit on foot next to the Sealife, Duel and Galatica etc...

Thank you very much. We'll be getting the bus to and from the park to Stoke station so hopefully shouldn't have too much trouble getting out.

Hi, planning on visiting on Friday 21st October which is scarefest but none of the schools are of. One of my friends is convinced queues will be hours long just because when she went back in 2014 in the school holidays she waited 4 hours (?) for the smiler. She thinks all the queues will be 1 hour +, I think they wont be anything longer than 1 hour. What do you guys think? I would appreciate your thoughts!

I'm visiting the park also on Friday 21st October and hoping for it to be quiet, I'm sure everyone else is thinking it will be quiet due to kids being at school on that day, but I expect that with that day being the only term time available for the Scarefest, everyone else with the same thinking will turn up and I can imagine that it will actually be very busy.

It's going to be really hard to call as the park has been quiet since last years Smiler incident, but judging by last weekend queues and Alton are testing the waters with boycotting the term week of the Scarefest, who knows what the queues be like.

Personally I would hope that the queues would not be too long a wait, but I got that horrible feeling that this year we can kiss goodbye to walk-on rides in the dark this year :(

You've just reminded me, it'll be really nice to ride the Smiler in the dark again (after not being possible last year). I especially love the view from the top of the first lift when it's dark and cold. Love this time of year :)

Just a quick one, I know you're all probably sick of hearing this!

Thinking of visiting for the first time in 10+ years and staying at one of the resort hotels. Arriving Sun 9th Oct, departing Mon 10th Oct.

Any idea roughly how busy it'll be, especially on the Sunday with it being scarefest? Can I expect 90+ min queues for the bigger rides or?

Thanks :)
