With it being the first Sunday of Scarefest you may find it busier than normal. This is a date that the traveller community often visit the park - the Monday will be significantly quieter.

Thanks for the reply, probably a date to avoid then?

I'm going on the 9th. Last year, I went on the first Sunday, there were lots of travellers, but they didn't tend to do the rides, they just stood around the towers. Everything was walk on last year, but that was significantly quieter. If your in a hotel, early in the morning and later at night the park was quieter.

The Monday will indeed be significantly quieter, not least because there is no Scarefest that day! That park is open until 4pm on Monday 10th October.

:)

Didn't know where to ask this, but does anyone have photos of merlins magic wand, Chessington conservation, or sea life conservation charity boxes? Thanks.

Been trying to book water park tickets for Sunday 9th but the whole weekend is unavailable online, how likely is it that it's actually sold out? Thanks

Looking at the amount of people in the waterpark in August... if you want the same experience just invite 10 strangers to join you in the bathtub, same difference. Saves you wasting money too.

Hi Guys,

Sorry if this has already been added but I couldn't see it on a brief scan through.

Does anyone know the start date of the 2017 season please?

Cheers.

Do AT still sell cheaper tickets for fireworks after 4pm? I can't find the option on the crap website. Or do you just have to turn up on the day to buy? Cheers!

I know they have done in the past, but here is what they say on their website, make of it what you want, I'll take it as no, but if they do reduce prices after 4pm, there be no guarantee that you will gain entry

"We advise guests without pre-booked tickets to arrive before 3pm to guarantee entry. Merlin Annual Passes are valid for this event."

They only ran the after 4pm tickets on the Friday for the past few years. Since the Friday has been scrapped altogether now, they aren't available at all.
