Features We'd Like to See on the New Forum

Monthly Pub Quizzes at peak time on Chat every fourth Saturday. They were real fun and we can shake it up with teams and solo and all that. I wouldn't mind having the old TST Skypers vs the new ones.
 
I'd love to bring back the pub quiz and I'll certainly see what I can do to sort it! :D
 
Ooh actually Id thought about this before but never mentioned it - can it be a radio pub quiz like we used to do?

Could i ask for the SW6 mini-site to be brought onto TowersStreet (if you can)?

I used to go on that site frequently as a massive fan of Th13teen and it is really disappointing to see it has gone offline, i cannot access it at all on TowersTimes so just wondering if you could bring it over or create a new one, it would be a shame for all that construction archives to just go :)
 
At the time of SW6 TowersStreet had not yet been founded. Any content that is on, or has been on TowersTimes and any other website is their property to do what they wish with it. You'd be better asking them if there is any way they can bring it back if it's no longer available.

Just to reiterate, we are not TowersTimes, or associated with them. We are a completely different site. If you have any queries regarding any other sites you are best to talk to them and see if they can help you :)

The SW6 site's been taken down! :(

The construction photo's I'm not to fussed about, most of them were from Alton Towers Photobucket so available on other sites. But the video of the Th13teen event was a fairly unique interview from John Wardley that I haven't seen anywhere else. As one of the team recorded it I'm hoping it still exists even if you aren't allowed to re-upload it. I might contact the new TTF Team and find out why they took the site down. I notice that they haven’t removed SW5Live.
 
can the go up and go down buttons be changed to next page in the thread, at sometime in the future, no rush. if it is at all possible.
 
Would it be possible to have a page listing the rides and their operational status? i.e Monorail-Closed
It would be handy for a visitor just scanning.

I know it would take a lot of work to keep it up to date, but it could just list any attractions that will be down for more than a day at least.

Most people would like to know what rides are running.

Firstly, I am really glad The Team got a new site up and running that they have full control over! :)

Secondly, related to Beth's post..."The Face for Radio Contest" was my absolute favourite name for a "post your picture" thread I've ever seen! Please rename it to that!

My final, and more serious suggestion, is a board for the more touchy or thoughtful discussions. I can't remember what the Ma's equivalent is called off the top of my head now (maybe still Ma's?). Anyway, that's great for the cruder and funnier topics but the more chin-stroking topics might do well having a place of their own. Things like the Olympics discussion are great for Corner Coffee but the other thread about the politics and the other one about drug legalisation would be nice separated. You could make it recommended 18+ like Ma's but it's not a big deal either way...I was still an idiot still at 18. I haven't gotten a lot smarter but I like to think I'm not so argumentative.

Anyway, I'm a bit late to the party. I hadn't logged in at TTF for a while and I guess that's when this big ol' exodus happened. Who I am is under my avatar for those who have eyes to see...though I've never been on any meets, I was in chat a fair bit.

Again, congrats on getting this all set up! :)
 
Why hello there Mr Dorsia or should I say, Tony? ;-) Welcome to our new, comfortable and very temperate stomping ground!

The Team have done a fabulous job of making the entire site and forum lovely and I doubt they'll never stop the improvements!

Firstly, welcome back :D

As it stands at the moment, we're not planning on adding further forums as we don't really have the level of discussion to warrant it. We're already at the level of as many forums as we had on TT, but with less daily visitors. Admittedly the core memberbase is still around, but at present it's going to be a case of letting things grow before branching out into more forums. I guess at the moment, it's easy to see which of the discussions in Corner Coffee are of the more "serious" nature (heck, you managed to point them out in your post :D), so we're going to see how that goes for the time being.

Dunno whether this has been mentioned, but upon obtaining a new PC I have lost most of the audio from around the park. Now while I can just obtain it from other websites, I was wondering if you guys would be creating a Media page any time soon?

Would be nice to have audio from the park and some exclusive photos by members detailing areas. My apologies if this has been mentioned!

Not sure you're allowed to upload music from around the park due to Merlin having it copyrighted. You can just get it from Youtube anyway so it's not much of a problem, it just creates problems for the site owners.
 
A lot of the audio that used to be hosted on TT was removed after copyright claims from Merlin. I doubt the team here would fancy ending up in a similar situation unfortunately.
