Seen as Alton Towers will no longer take our dollar, here's to a day at Blackpool Pleasure Beach on Saturday, 18th February.

I am going to stay at the Holiday Inn Express Preston South following the day and hope to spend a few hours in Blackpool following the park's close at 5pm. Tickets are £16.25 booked online.

DATE: Saturday, 18th February
TIME: 10:45am, Noah's Ark Entrance

See you there!

I'll be there, once again BPB proving it's the UK's best value park

Ooh now this is tempting seeing as I can't make the official meet. Will ponder over it. :)

I'll be there there, debating staying over or not however.

I'll be there! Getting another pass so it'd be daft not to! Love me some Pirates of the Black Pool! :p

Depending on our progression in the FA Cup I may try and make it up to 'Pool for this!

:)

Trains are off between Preston and Blackpool I believe as a word of warning due to electrification works

I've just had a look at Northern's website, and trains to Blackpool North (this is the route where the upgrade work is taking place) will be running as normal on the weekend of 18/19 February. As I understand it, the route to Blackpool South will be running as normal, though I'd expect it to be busier than usual on that line on the weekends when the line to Blackpool North is closed.

For those not in the know, trains to BP north are the fast trains from Preston, often direct or just one stop, the trains to BPsouth (and BPB station) are the slower, local trains, stopping about ten times between Preston and Blackpool South.
And all the trains are southern cast offs from the eighties, which is all us northerners deserve.
If I get a chance I may try to come over and say hello.

The Blackpool South trains may be more convenient however due to the fact they stop at the Pleasure Beach station.

Unfortunately I will now be watching Leicester get knocked out of the FA Cup by Millwall so will not be able to make this.

Hope you all have fun though!

:)
