2017: Voletarium

EP clearly fully thought it through before building and addressed the large queue issues before opening. EP focus on guest experience and this project alone has shown that. Will be interesting to see the queue times at other major attractions just after opening hours next season.

They are also working on the I.T required to provide fast pass to Hotel guests too. When I was there (separately to Towers street) it was explained to me that the fast pass may be something they add for hotel guests.

Has a name for Project V been announced yet? EP have posted some plans and concept art on their Facebook page of the exterior of the building, and above the what looks like the entrance it says "Flying Europe". Could this possibly be the name, or something similar?

I thought Flying (over) Europe was the name of the film in the first instance?

I am unsure if that will be the name of the attraction wholesale, as films could change in subsequent years.

One of the videos they have posted states that 'Flying Over Europe' was to be the name of the attraction, but is now the new name for the first film.

One assumes this must be one of the earlier concept arts :p

I asked Patrick about this during our tour - Flying Over Europe is the working title for the first film. The attraction name will not be revealed until much nearer the opening date.

:)

I'm looking forward to 2018's new film: Flying Over California

Yes, a year in which they will butcher Hendrik's no doubt graceful score for the original film and replace it with one that uses the same melody but in a generally less effective manner.

...Hendrik's no doubt graceful score for the original film...
Wait, no one told me the sound track was going to be Jimmy Hendriks! This just got ten times more awesome!

Park Scout have done an in depth interview with Michael Mack regarding Project V and the first part of it can be read here. The second part will be published in a few days.

Some of the stuff we found out ourselves over new year however this seems to confirm that the music for the attraction will be composed by Kolya Erdmann, whoever that is!

:)

Michael Mack has provided another update on Twitter showing how Project V is coming along:

Looks like all of the gondolas in at least one theatre are now in place and the structure to hold the screen is going up.

:)

Hmm I wouldn't take that as gospel but I'd be surprised if it wasn't open sometime in June at the latest. Ideally I think they want to open it in May but with no opening date announced it cannot be delayed!

Interesting to hear a little bit more about ACE there though and how it might work going forward. Clearly different members of the club with different interests are going to be involved with various aspects/themes across the whole resort.

:)
