Not that I've ever heard of no, is you are over 1.4 meters then you are fine to ride. The only attractions that tend to have an age restriction as such are scare mazes and even then it is just recommended, I doubt they would ever ask for proof.

:)

I saw a tweet this morning off somebody who had Just turned 13 and said she couldn't wait to ride DBGT As she couldn't last year As she was 12

I put 2 and 2 together to be honest

She was ok for the drop ride at Blackpool tower at weekend so should be ok,panic over!
Cheers for reply's

Ah, DBGT may have an age recommendation also but even if it does I doubt that it is strictly enforced. In terms of being able to ride the rides, age doesn't matter, it's just incase some children find them too scary.

:)

I think Saw at Thorpe Park also has a 12 and over advisory. The live action Saw maze definitely has 12 and over advisory.

Not sure if there's a thread for this already so correct me if there is,

If you were to stay bed and breakfast at a hotel outside of Alton towers resort, where would it be? Looking to book a stay and don't fancy paying the price of ATH

I second Burbs, Chained Oak B&B , my choice for this years open day stay. £80 B&B and that full english in the morning ... YUM! :D

Anybody know where the cameras are for on ride photos on duel and the smiler?
When I'm on the ride, sure! Not sure I could remember exactly where Duel's is off the top of my head though. It's when a ... thing ... pops up behind a wall / window of some kind, just after a left hand turn.
Smiler's is on one of the air time humps under the Marmaliser.

Duel's is practically at the very end, just before the AWESOME finale! ;)

Once you pass the heaters in the 'indoor' zombie scene after the garden (surprisingly, an effect that usually works), you are close.

Yes, the camera on Duel is just after the Zombie final just before you re-enter the station. At you turn left, the monster head appears out of the broken window in the wall on your right and then immediately you turn right into the station.

As for the Smiler, there are two cameras. It's after the second lift hill, when you double back towards the toilet block, you do an inversion with a big drop adjacent to the toilet block/next to the entrance queue line (the queue line that you queue in first thing in the morning just before the entrance to the Smiler). One camera is on this drop and then another one is just after the bunny hop (left hand one of the two) that follows the drop. Depend on where you are seated on the cars, depends on which camera snaps you.

See the red dots on plan below for cameras
