Am I the only person who thinks that it looked better before?

Of course it looks cleaner now, but its like someone vomited a strange mix of the leftover paint from CBeebies land over it.


It's almost as if they would only pay for paint that makes people feel nauseous looking at it. Almost

I definitely object to the top one - it should be illegal to paint a building that colour. Plus it brings attention to one of the least interesting facades on Towers Street.

The middle one is my favourite. It's appropriately bright for a theme park setting without being overly garish. It suits the building and really neatens it up.

The last one looks like it's painted to glow under UV lights.
 
The bottom two look good, especially the purple. The green box office building, however, looks revolting.
 
I love that Towersstreet is getting attention. On the whole, I'm a big fan of the TLC program, and I think the updates are really good.

But that green Box Office building is, objectively speaking, revolting.
 
I have never been convinced by the TLC fuss.
It is all routine maintainance...stuff that they should have been doing anyway.
They let things slide.
They are very slowly catching up.
Celebrate?
No...just "About bloody time".

Electric entrance shutters instead of manual ones.

At least the green box office won't stand out as much as it did last season, whereby it was the only building to have been re-painted in a vibrant colour. Looked very bizarre.
 
Towers Street has been tired for a while so I am glad to see these improvements continuing. The new paintwork, along with the new music we got last season, is a big positive to me.

I do wish that they had tried to add some more character to the Box Office building when they painted it last year though, it is just so bland compared to the others. As has been said though, it hopefully won't stand out quite as much this season. The purple bulding looks superb next to the brilliant photos booth.

It does look like this is all part of a longer term vision for revitalising Towers Street. It will be interesting to see what else they do.
