The I Feel Happy Topic!

Glad to hear you're happy Panda. :) Known you for 5 years and I have never seen you this happy before, but it makes myself smile because you deserve it because of how awesome you are! :D

Whoop Whoop, go Panda. Positive is always the best :)

In other news, Salmonella put me in the hospital, nothing awful :) Just a slightly irritable bowel is my only problem now and alcohol is back on the menu :D

I'd recommend going to uni to anyone. Yeah sure it's a bit expensive, but I agree with you, one of the best things to ever happen to me.

For a few years before Uni I was in a bit of a bad place because of some events that happened during my time at college and at the end of college I thought I didn't want to go to Uni. About a 6 months after I left and half way through my apprenticeship I realised that I would like to go, not because I wanted to learn but more to network with people who had similar interests in the things I liked. And that is exactly what happened, I effectively paid £9000 to network and I went from having about 2 friends at the finishing college to countless.

It all comes down to thinking 'why the fuck not? What's the worst thing that can happen?' and then doing it. I did that for Uni, went on a tour organised by the music school I was part of to Lake Garda, which at this point is one of the best weeks I've ever had and at first it took a lot of convincing to make me go.

The only reason I found out about this forum in the first place was saying yes to my flatmate when he asked if I wanted to go to the pub and then talking to Panda about it. :D

Could also be the complete independence, brand new environment, big city compared to tiny rural village, the like-minded people I can see regularly, alien situations I'm constantly thrown in, full-time working my ass off in a great course, getting to act like an immature teenager again and living with friends.

Maybe. ;)

Glad you're feeling Happy now Panda! University is great, it really helped me develop a social network, the whole living with friends thing is great, and seeing and speaking to like minded people every day really helps. Just enjoy it while it lasts, annoyingly it doesn't last forever.

I've ended up reconnecting with an old friend on Facebook this evening. Someone I hadn't spoken to since I left the Forest of Dean in 1999. It's really brightened my evening up! :)

Our brass band played in a regional contest this afternoon and we came 4th out of 21! Best result we've had for years - I'm ecstatic! Unfortunately we were 1 place away from qualifying for the national finals, but this is still a fantastic achievement for the band.

Edit: turns out it was 21 bands now.

I've just had an email through from one of my favourite YouTube Channels "Rooster Teeth", one of the channels that inspired me to get into filmmaking/animation. I've been accepted to be part of their production crew at their even at the Excel Centre in London "RTX". Only downside is I have to wait until October...

Had creams tonight, I feel slightly ill after eating it all but it's just so good! Wouldn't want to be the guy that has to cycle all the way up past St James' for it though, slightly cruel :D

The volume buttons on our amp remote have been knackered for at least a year. Not the end of the world as I can control it via an iPad app, but still annoying.
Well I finally got fed up of the ten second delay as the app wakes up before I can mute annoying adverts, and given a replacement remote costs about £55, I took matters in to my own hands.

Opened it up to find the contact pads on the back of the buttons were worn away. Some cunning aplication of foil tape later, IT'S ALIVE!

Booyah! :D

Lifted a weight off my shoulders today. A probably shared isn't a problem halved, it has nigh on nuked the problem :)

I'm going back to the Crucible in Sheffield in a couple of weeks for the World Snooker Championship for the third year in a row. Really looking forward to it. :)
