They keep referring to this ride as ground-breaking, and it could likely be that they go with the 'europe's first launched wooden roller coaster' and we see a magnetic LSM launch like that of Lightening Rod at Dollywood. However I feel like it is more likely that we do have an inversion somewhere and it is advertised as the 'world's first launched inverting wooden coaster', I really doubt they could resist a worlds first gimmick and this is probably the last remaining thing you could do with a woodie which would be new.

think its a time off the wood being ready to be laid

I imagine that they will start constructing Wood for the top of the lift hill pretty soon (if not already), before moving on to the bends and drop in the area of the old flume drop. They are phasing foundation construction to retain access to construct Wood at the back and upper site, once the back sections are finished theyll start constructing foundations on the area which is currently being used as a haul road through the middle. It looks like The founds and groundwork are finished at the very top end, and close to being finished in the old flume drop area.

The site is looking good!

Spoken as someone who at the very least sounds like they understand a construction site! All I see is mud, concrete and equipment, so your input is appreciated.

The weather is certainly on their side thus far to enable a good rate of progression!

Looks like the top of the site is now ready for wood with footers complete and metal brackets in place:

That really is a brilliant photo and shows just how much progress has been made! I can't help but notice that there has currently been no work on foundations for the shop..... so I'm calling it now - rather than a proper building as per the plans we're getting a shipping container! ;)

(In reality the shop is due to be located where current site access appears to be)

:)

That is a great photo, sure hope to see some more updates like that.

Great photo. Comparing it to The Smiler's construction site groundwork hadn't even started yet at this point, yet SW8 has gone vertical. It's good to see the park learning from their mistakes. :)

Woah, don't get too ahead of yourself! Bare in mind wooden coaster's take a lot longer than steel so they had to take that into account. I've heard various people state they have been behind schedule but managed to catch up. We shall see how it looks come the end of the season! :D

Also... if we see them working weekends, be worried :D
