I think that if this coaster is going to have any speed despite the height difference on the site.
The second theming structure (as marked on the plans) has been built but the first theming structure hasn't. What's interesting about this is that this structure is also the biggest.

Will it have trims :)
I can't recall a GCI with trims so, hopefully no.

We have a Tunnel! :D
I wonder if this will have the same amount of tunnel length compared to Gold Striker? I think Merlin could so something special inside the tunnel as well!
(Don't tell anyone but I heard there's going to be a 'washing machine' element with aquatrax and #whatsinthetunnel campaign, i know this my half-step uncle told me and he works at Tussuads!)

I think it would be really cool if they put sound effects in the tunnel that made some really cool noises as the train speed by. The other obvious thing to do in the tunnel is to put a lighting package.

Let's not encourage any sound effects in the tunnel, it'll turn into Annual Pass sale adverts within a year.

I've noticed on the right side of the lift hill which either means the first drop will go back around and under the lift hill which isn't is shown on the plans. Or the plans have been changed. Or they could be planning to build some kind of entrance to a path or an area or a theming structure.

It is shown on the plans bud. The layout of the footers matches the submitted plans so far. The only alterations could be added inversions somewhere in the middle of the ride but I feel like that's unlikely.

The usual crowd has... the rational "let's see what happens" crowd are doing just that.

It’s a good mantra to have though. Believe until proven otherwise. I know if I had bad thoughts about a ride before I got on it it would be harder to like it than the other way around. That is just me though I know.

Sounds like a very exhausting way to live your life, but whatever works.

I think this will be a solid ride. Manufacturer with a fairly flawless reputation - I've never been on a ride of theirs that sucked.

We've waited 20 years or whatever to get a wooden roller coaster at Alton and there's no excitement because it's not the one we wanted. Jeez... I am looking forward to it.

Was at the park yesterday, impressive to see the rate of progression first walked past the ride and the furthest they'd got was were they'd placed the flags. Went past 4 hours later and they'd added the next two sections as shown on the photo above.

Liking the look of the banked turns through the theming object as well!

Didn't GCI blame Gwazi on PTC for ruining the track though? Even if you do count Gwazi, still a fair bit more flawless than RMC...

Well, PTCs tend to tear wooden track apart as they aren't articulated like Millennium Flyers or other modern wooden coaster trains. So they require more maintenance and retracking over time, and if this isn't kept on top of then the coaster will become rough. But they were the only option at the time because GCI hadn't yet developed the Millennium Flyers.

And about RMC, aside from the issues with Lightning Rod I can't think of many other problems with their coasters.

A pessimist is never dissapointed. Even if you turn out to be right, at least you get to say "I told you so". ;)
I go for the realist train of thought.
Its a wooden coaster made by a company with a good reputation for them. It will definitely not be the best woody in the world. Its different to any other coaster on park, so it will be a new ride experience on the park.
I am happy there will be a wooden coaster at my local park.

Gwazi is a fair shout @Brad97 Seems like most of the blame was directed at the PTCs and trying to keep the track in good shape despite everything the Florida weather could throw at it.

Texas Giant could have ruined RMC before they got off the ground but it seems as if most of the blame went in the direction of Gerstlauer and Six Flags.

What was bad about Texas Giant and what did Gerst and Six Flags do? Thanks
