Scarefest 2017

Sorry to double post but a bit of a scarefest update. The outdoor construction is underway with two shipping containers and the crawl tubes now on the site ready to be put in the placement for the maze itself.

In regards to ToTT, there seems like there will be a new exit procedure this year as the gothic corridor seems to extend out longer than previous years, as normally you would exit via the single door just before the area that was the sanctuary "waiting room".

Did you also see the other shipping container which had been covered with see through wrapping?

I do hope the mix up sub species a bit this year. Not that I'm complaining about it. Just need to keep it fresh and different. Unlike ToTT
Bring back the big squeeze !! :D

4 mazes confirmed for 2017 scarefest!

Terror of the Towers
Altonville Mine Tours
Sub Species
PLUS NEW MAZE 2017

Also seems like Freak Show will be the only scare zone this year

Overall, I am happy mine tours is back I enjoyed it last year. Thought Terror of the Towers was really weak so hope they've improved it in parts.

Also a shame if Freak Show is the only scare zone as thought it was boring and got repetitive once you'd been in a few times. Hope there is another scare zone as thats what i'd like to see more of creates a better atmosphere in the park.

The only great thing about the scare zones were that they were fully wheelchair friendly. Jess will be disappointed with being a scare zone down

Well if NST is 4th scare maze thats good as at least I will be able to go on it, as not been able to yet

Good to see a new maze confirmed, will be interesting to see if one of them is free this year (I suspect not).

Of course if all 4 are paid mazes the event becomes ever more expensive. I will probably only do each maze the one time like last year.

:)

While I welcome the addition of a new fourth maze, my only concern is will they make the existing ones shorter now so they can use some actors from these to staff the new one....

Looking at tower's website, it actually suggests that the fourth maze will be free. You can book tickets now for three scare mazes, plus one new scare maze (£16 with map discount for all four, the same as last year).

This is incorrect. A 3 maze ticket is currently on sale and a 4 maze ticket will be on sale soon :)

Can this 4th maze fit in the Towers? Do they have the space? Will be interesting to see what happens.

Very disappointed with Terror of the Towers having the same story/theme again! It's been stale for such a long time now, it's in desperate need of a new theme. They can swap around scenes as much as they want, but it's still same old.

They have cut Forbidden Valley's scare zone, so that probably helps.

Last year they did have a new scare maze (Mine Tours), a family maze (House of Monsters) and a new scare zone (Freak Show), so looking at this year with just one new maze, the budget might be there to accomodate for a 4th maze.

If this maze is in the Towers and there's not much space it could be possible the existing mazes will be shorter.
