Does anyone else think that The Welcoming could possibly be the ride's name? I'm only thinking that because the website is now called thewelcoming.co.uk and the maze is officially called The Welcoming: Be Chosen, possibly implying that the maze could be the choosing process for The Welcoming ride? Or am I just massively overthinking this?
Based on the fact that the trademarked image was correct, I would assume that the Wicker Man is going to be the name. Although, I do prefer the Welcoming as a name, perhaps the Wicker Man name was just trademarked for merch?

I think the [not actually part of] Wodan blocks were about €12.
And twice the size.
They burnt real good!

Good marketing really isn't it? Charge silly amounts for a piece of wood that would of just ended up in a skip, put a pretty logo on it and then people buy them and then in a few years times look it at it again and think why did I waste that much. At least other parks like Blackpool actually sell wood that was part of the coaster not off cuts that couldn't be returned oh I love Merlin can't wait to see these in the bargain bin next year

Good thinking, but it's almost definitely going to be called 'The Wicker Man', as that was the name registered alongside the logo that we are now seeing. I'm still remaining cautiously optimistic about this ride, but I must say, the teaser campaign does have me genuinely excited and intrigued. Incidentally, if you haven't seen the original 'Wicker Man' film from the seventies, I really would advise it to anyone. An absolute masterclass in suspense and ye olde English repression and weirdness. Funny how the park are seemingly returning to the theme, ten years after 'Merrie England' disappeared.

How much for a scrap off cut from Alan Wickerman!

Well now I've had time to actually look at the photo from the shop I can honestly say it's the funniest thing I've seen in a long time, they have put sercurity tags on the wood? Are people really that sad to rob a bit of wood? I have now officially seen it all and now seeing that fella from Themepark worldwide has brought one and is showing it off on Facebook no doubt after reading the comments all his minions will have the urge to buy one so they can be just like him oh I love the life of theme park enthusiasts

Yeah, apart from when Astro tipped a bucket of water over it, the block went missing, and you were at the bottom of the garden looking for the Poddington Peas. ;) No, wait, that last bit was quite funny, in all honesty. :p

So that you buying one then @Calpols :D

Oh yeah definitely it's a must have item it's what I've been dreaming of owning since it was first announced or maybe I'll just wait till they are on eBay next year because they are "Limited" so they are going to super rare to get hold of so actually I plan to buy 10 stick on the eBay next year and claim I've got the "Holy Grail" for collectors

Or I might just save the money and pop down the pub for a few pints
