2019: Rulantica

Another new concept posted by Thomas Mack:

And the full version of a previously seen concept:

I assume this is all part of the waterpark entrance (from Looopings):

Meanwhile this appears to be a hotel show room:

All of this looks amazing. I wish we were just a little bit closer. The idea that the new hotel is a Museum just means that, knowing EP, it is going to be an attraction worth visiting on its own.

Going to be interesting to follow the construction.

So will this be an actual functioning museum, or will it just be a museum-themed hotel?

Also, how far is this from the rest of EP? I've never been before and I was just interested to know?

The waterpark looks stunning and could, in my opinion, potentially compete with Disney's water parks and Volcano Bay (TapuTapu issues aside.) for immersion.

It is a Nordic themed hotel based on a natural history museum. It will feature artefacts collected by the Adventure Club of Europe members.

The new resort is located on the main road towards Rust and EP; it will be a few minutes on the bus and at a guess a 20 minute walk from the existing hotels, give or take.

I expect the final product in terms of the waterpark to be somewhere between the concept image and the model. The hotel I expect will be exceptional!

:)

The fact it is indoor will slightly reduce the immersion; but overall I am suitably impressed by the concepts and the hotel, in particular, is going to be beautiful! I am quite sure!

I've decided to pull out some key information released by EP relating to Rulantica and Krønasår.

Rulantica - "For water fans who do not want to leave the poolside for a soothing drink, the cool pool bars in the indoor and outdoor areas are just the right thing."

Krønasår - "Later on, the journey can be continued in the bar in the style of Nordic explorers. The bar extends over two floors and offers a truly cozy atmosphere. The spacious terraces of the two restaurants and the bar promise a breathtaking view over a fjord to the opposite harbor silhouette of Rulantica."

The Krønasår bar will seat 130 guests. There will also be a 370 (150 of these outdoors) seat fine dining restaurant and a 860 (210 of these outdoors) seat family restaurant.

More information and facts about both of these additions can be found on the Europa-Park press website.

:)

If there will be poolside drinks, I really hope they can have some kind of "scan your writsband and charge it to your room" set up. Nothing worse than places that expect you to return to your locker, get your wallet, return to the poolside bar, buy a drink, then have to return to your locker again before you can get back in the water.

Now the thought of an EP strength long island iced tea in a waterpark is rather interesting...

An update on the progress of Hotel Krønasår from Thomas Mack:

It is really starting to take shape, and you can just about make out the footprint of what will be the waterpark.

:)

A new update from Michael Mack:

I saw the Hotel Kronasar structure myself over new year and it is mighty impressive, it's really going to dominate the drive in to Rust!

EDIT:

Thomas Mack has now shared this video which shows off the whole site even better:

Do we have an idea of what sort of water slides/attractions are going to be in the waterpark yet? I'm presuming that there will be waterslides of some sort, unless this is some sort of new-gen waterpark without slides or something. I reckon that Europa should choose ProSlide for the waterpark's attractions, as they make some brilliant-looking slides. Ihu's Breakaway Falls at Aquatica is a fantastic slide, and even though it's not a ProSlide, the Tornado-esque slide at Center Parcs Longleat is also brilliant. ProSlide's hybrids look great fun too!

Overall, I am very interested to see the finished product of this waterpark as I think it could be something rather special for Europe and possibly even the world!

Well you're in luck as Proslide is one of the suppliers :). There's 17 waterslides in total, although I'd assume that would include smaller kiddie slides too. If you've not read it, the Blooloop interview is worth a read as it feature Chip Cleary and Roland Mack talking about the park.

Take a look at the previous page of this thread! ;)

Thanks guys! Ooo... looks very interesting! Can see duelling tube slides, a bowl slide and a custom complex from the pics, alongside other things, presumably. With regards to the 17 attractions, do they mean 17 individual attractions or 17 slide complexes? Also, I wonder what slides Aquarena could be building. I've heard of them, but I'm never sure what sort of thing they do.

It’s got to be 17 attractions. Just from looking at the model there’s nowhere near 17 individually distinguishable slide complexes.

EPFans.info have some fantastic photos showing the progress on Hotel Krønasår:
