I've seen a bunch of people talking about a potential Mutiny Bay re-theme (myself included) , but since they're doing a "Pirate and Princess" event in the February half term it doesn't look too likely.

The park doesn’t fully open until the 17th March, so there’s still a chance it could be rethemed after half term but before the park fully opens (I agree that its still unlikely though).

They could easily pull off a Wild Woods-type retheme between the 25th February and the 17th March.

I can totally see some of mutiny bay being re themed to the Beoren village. Probably not now, but in the future as an expansion. Going off topic and jumping ahead to other seasons. I just think that there is too much dated land that need a re-theme. Cloud Cuckoo Land mostly, and i know this sounds rather odd but Kanta Canyon,Duel (Heavily), Nemesis Sub Terra, The now closed down money thieving 'Forbidden sweep' and Mutiny Bay.

Currently I believe that the park is an absolute shambles when it comes to theming and I think SW8 will only make it worse in Munity Bay as post flume removal it actually was not to bad for continuity unlike dark forest and FV

I think there are some overreactions here, folks.

I am sure Mutiny Bay will remain and SW8 will fit in adequately in terms of theme.

It's not as if the entire park is in any kind of synergy these days anyway.
Its a 'Speculation'. Thats all.

AT is a theme park and all the indications point towards SW8 being in Munity Bay and from current teasers it looks as if SW8 has no link with pirates. So I don't think there is overreactions mainly because AT is a THEME PARK not an amusement park with poorly themed rides dumped anywhere with space.

SOMEONE UNDERSTANDS ME

THEORY!!!!! I as the ride plans show, the track will flow underneath the pre-show. Could this indicate seeing a smiler type looking glass found in the shop on the floor? The pre-show could start and as your leaving the room goes dark and the floor reveals the train. If there is anything in the underground section if the ride, you could easily put two shows on, the first being the pre-show and the second being the underground part?

And then they could merge at the end.

The last time I brought up on here the fact that the SW8 theme was bleeding out of its area and clashing with Mutiny Bay I got baraged with "Well it's better than ducks and bath tubs", as if 2 wrongs somehow make a right? Or that it was somehow difficult to come up with a theme for a WOODEN coaster that would clash less with a pirate themed area.

It's also a shame that so many seem so Ok with the watering down of immersive themed areas at Towers. I would argue that this has always been a major point of difference with Towers, especially since its been pulled off so well in the past. The geography and height restrictions make Towers the perfect place for this.

But, we are were we are with SW8. As someone who actually thought the fence improved the immersion in MB, I'm hoping that the coaster doesn't look too bad in the back drop. I'm more concerned about the KC pathway and the final turn of the Rapids as I don't want to be able to see across Mutiny Bay from there, even if the top of the first drop of SW8 is poking out above me. I also hope that the new courtyard food offering doesn't clash too much with MB and would appeal for them NOT to theme it to SW8.

But I think we can all agree, that the last thing Mutiny Bay needs is a Tesco Value "retheme" like the likes of Transylvania at Chessington. I'd far sooner have a slightly less coherently themed coaster in the corner of the area than have the coasters colour scheme slopped all over pirate ships and gunpowder barrels.

Given that SW8's story is about a group who live deep in the woods away from civilisation I can't see them tying in Mutiny Bay, it wouldn't make sense. The idea fits into Gloomy Wood. Of course the ride is physically located in Mutiny Bay but since when has the concept of coherently themed areas ever stopped them?

Does this mean all the big 6 marketing stuff is out of date now?
