More idiocy being displayed by facebook users from the ITV central post yesterday.
"No thanks I wouldn't risk it i want my legs in TACK thanks used to like rides but too many accidents"
"It don’t go upside down or vertical or anything"
"I trust they pay a premium for dumping all that smoke and CO2 into the atmosphere?"
and some crazy communist going on about money being spent on better things...

This is the best one I've seen on there so far...
What could go wrong
The special treatment could come off and it could burn.
It could be a windy day and the flames may just catch someone. What else could happen. This is a stupid idea . It just desperation to get customers after the smiler. I will be gob smacked if nothing goes wrong. It could take a week or a couple if years but it will

I also like this line from Francis Jackson, who I think sums up a lot of the same feelings as this forum.
As for what impact the ride will have on footfall, Jackson is guarded. “We’re not just focused on the dollar,” he says. “If the experience is right, the guests will come.”

Bit ironic that he says they aren’t focused on the dollar yet they introduce fastrack from day which is unheard of in Towers history. clearly they are focused on money otherwise they wouldn’t of done it. But who can blame them they need revenue and fastrack on Wickerman is guaranteed to bring them it.

Strangely enough it seems to be the park’s primary attendees (the public) who are the ones killing the park. People are very uninformed on rollercoasters and journalists are too. If this was Disney nobody would bat an eye. Still though , less people = shorter queues for us

Hasn't Disney had fatalities in multiple parks?

I just wish the public and the media would move on at some point. That being said though, positive things never make a good story.

I just noticed in one of the photos that there is a sign outside the entrance saying "You are now entering the territory of the Beornen. Visitors - enter at your peril!"... maybe they should put a duplicate at the park entrance, only with Varney instead of The Beornen.

Would like to find out what the film IP they considered using was.

As someone who's never been to AT on a coaster opening day, what sort of queue times would we be looking at for Saturday 17th?

Not true. 4PM closures, next to zero entertainment, closed rides, derelict areas and wound down operations are killing the park.

I've said this time and time again, the whole crash thing is over stated as an excuse - it's yesterday's news and not even today's chip paper. Very few people who are likely to visit the park actually care about this dead story anymore, they more care about what they're getting in return for their £55.
