There not going to force you to wear the headsets so it will be they just ask if you want vr or not.

Not so.
If you choose to sit on the VR rows, you must wear the goggles.
That was made very clear, if we sat in the back rows, you must wear the goggles or vacate the seat.
If you do not want to wear the goggles, you will be directed to one of the other rows.
The confusion arose because one of our group wanted VR, but we wanted to sit as a group.
It was worth it just to hear dippy scream.

I know but they don't really force you as you can go on a seat without VR

I don't think they will, I assume rap users will be able to choose to wear vr or not even on the mandatory back row.

Sorry Diogo, you get to choose at the platform gate...back three rows are the only ones that still run with goggles now.
Shakey wanted VR, but dippy and I didn't, so we did back rows to sit together, but then the very nice ride staff insisted we all wear the goggles in that row, as there was a queue for goggle seats, and as we were already trusted up like bondage freaks, we did as we were told.
Dippy screamed like a teenage girl all the way round.
Then had to sit out the repeat ride.

You didn't consider removing the googles after you'd left the station then? That's what I always did after my first go.

Trying to plan my arrival tomorrow, what time roughly does the car park open?

Gaining access to the car parks is never a problem, it's trying to leave them when they are being manned without payment

You may find that the main gates to the resort are closed 1st thing (they used to open around 8am, maybe later now there is reduce ERT), if they are, you will have to go in via the staff /security entrance and blag your way in ;)

Hi everyone. Big lover of Alton towers. I take my family regularly even though we aren't exactly locals. Live in West Midlands. We have stayed in the enchanted village and hotels before but this year we just can't afford it .
My question is this.. can anyone possibly advise us on where we can stay for cheap? 6 adults 5 kids.. hotel.. cottage lodge.. even caravan! Somewhere with 20 to 30 Min max drove away? Only 2 nights 27th April. I've been on the internet for 2 days trying to find something.. I'm sorry this wasn't exactly a quick question! I didn't know where to go for help!

Ashbourne Travelodge is 10 miles and less than 20 mins away. Even that time of year you should be able to pick up 3 rooms (which I assume you need with 6 adults) for under £250, perhaps even less.

Travelodge is perfectly acceptable, me and the family will be booking one when we go to BPB this year.
