Too funny :D all those non VIP wanting the action
So what do you do now stand and wait until you get their attention or use the normal entrance?

I know one in particular will just barge past everybody pass held aloft shouting "do you know who I am, let me in!"

Excellent, now we just need a dedicated ERT entrance so people qctactua benefit from the perk they were promised.

Yes, this is also a major concern of mine.

Judging from reports, anything with a barcode was eligible for ERT.

Why don't they open the gates early and then hold guuests on towers street with a few barriers at the bottom.

Have the shops and appropriate food stands open serving coffee and food. Come time to open then most of the queue are in and have had their bags checked . Europa do it.
I've always wondered the same. Seems like a good idea to get entrance and bag checks out the way, Towers Street will also act as extra space so as not to hold the crowds in one area. They could start processing ticket holders before park open and guests could enjoy a coffee or Towers street grill breakfast and can use the box office.

Seems the perfect solution to me and seems win win. Any extra staffing costs could be offset by the extra box office, merch, food and bev sales.

They used to do that, and people eligible for ERT often had to fight their way through a scrum of people to get to the front and there was often a stampede when the rope was dropped at 10am. So, it went!

I remember this on one visit a few years ago actually. ERT guests could enter via Forbidden Valley.

So recently I gave in and bought one of these £55 passes along with some of my friends who are not enthusiasts like myself. We visited Monday (26/03/18) and well lets look at some of the key points from my experience.

Monorail
Wasn't working of the morning. Good start to the day, however didn't mind the walk but surely having spent money on the platforms it would have been nice for it to be running, surely they done maintenance or upkeep on the ride itself?

Tickets
Luckily we had our passes and could go straight to the turnstiles however upon turning the corner, there was what seemed to be over an HOUR wait to get a ticket. Have they really thought this new procedure through? Or again lack of staff to cope with demand. New Ride = More staff surely?

Wicker Man
Prime reason for the visit and did not disappoint! However graffiti already appearing in the queline, and I know Towers' can't be held responsible for this, also the end of the ride was abit of an anti-climax. Sitting near the back of the train saw all smoke and lighting going off ahead thinking something was going to happen upon approaching nothing did. Then as another train approached behind us the same thing happened again? I'd say that this is the only disappointing thing. The Pre-show was amazing but baggage area? Having already gotten rid of TH13TEEN and Smilers? Hello baggage cages on Wicker Man next season then yes?

Rapids
Closed all day even though stating on the app it was open! Good times!

Duel
The new preshow area is cool with the painting but the ride itself needs more TLC blank spaces, bats not working, audio not working the list goes on. I know they attempted to do minor things but i'd rather them close it until its fully complete, on the flip side of this they cant really afford to loose anymore attractions!

Nemesis
Running one train 20 min que on a Monday?

Galatica
Now let me get this straight, they spent THOUSANDS of money on this VR to only have 3/4 sections running it? WHY! and to top it off a SIGN stuck up by CELLOTAPE saying if you want to ride with VR stay to the left. So a mulit million pound company printing off a sign, laminating it and sticking it up by cello tape. Times really must be tough!

Dark Forest
It's a disgrace. End of. TH13TEEN and Rita are basically dead in terms of theme, and what "themeing" is left is gone, rotten, or non existent. The park REALLY needs to look at this area for another re-theme however don't think its going to happen its just going to be left longer.

Oblivion
As much as I like it why is the Oblivion music now BLARRING across the plaza?

Smiler
Don't even get me started. They have RUINED the theme of this ride and its clearly showing now. I remember in 2013 how much enthusiasm and passion the ride had not only from the theme but from the staff. And now its dead. All that money spent on this ride to theme it and its falling apart and looking run down. The area manager of X Sector needs to open they're eyes and see what an absolute STATE there rides are in.

Overall, the magic has ended as far as I can see. Many years ago I used to be a big enthusiast of the place, but now it's obvious that they don't care. I know a small minitory of staff do indeed try however it seems like overall staff are now lacking in enthusiasm as well. I'm starting to give up on the place, it's been mentioned on here before they need a HUGE cash injection, but in reality its not going to happen.

So @FreakOut, you just walked passed the queues to the turnstyles and got in yes?

The reason I ask is at the weekend, it appeared passholders were either queuing themselves with those collecting tickets (probably new passholders) or I read (maybe here) that some were sent to the back of the queue by security for, well, reasons.
