Wickerman question here; when you exit the preshow, do you get to choose which gate you go to or does a staff member choose?

They may split you up too if more than two, (two on one row, others at the other end of the train) if you ask nicely, they will group you together or let you wait for the next train (like we did) but it does depend on the ride op and how well their day is going lol

If you are lucky and the first in, they may ask if you want front or back, but don't bank on it.

When I went just before Easter they told you which row to go to, although a couple asked to go at the back and the host did let them wait for the next train. They were also loading 4 people to each bay which seemed a bit pointless and made the platform feel chaotic

That's because the preshow holds enough people for two train loads.
Thanks though, I might ask if I can wait for the front.

I've got two questions to ask, if anyone wouldn't mind answering:
  1. When Thirteen was built, I heard somewhere that it reutilised Corkscrew's queue line, exit path and ORP booth. Is this true?
  2. Out of interest, is it known how much Octonauts cost the park in 2015?

You can see where the corkscrew entrance and exit used to be on google street view, the park was filmed in 2009
It's been done since then. Thirteen is showing. I remember the exit is in the same place but I forget where the queue entrance wasn't it behind Ritas between where Thirteen disabled entrance a d shipping container is now?

Odd, I checked it last week and got the 2009 images, which I'm still seeing now. Corkscrew exit was roughly where the shopping container is, entrance was what is now the Thirteen exit.

Thanks @John and everyone else! Seems a bit strange to reuse Corkscrew’s old infrastructure, but hey ho, Thirteen’s queue is nice!

I did read somewhere that Wicker Man reused parts of The Flume’s queue line, but as photos and seeing the site in person in July 2017 while the ride was being built seem to imply that The Flume’s old queue was mostly (if not completely) obliterated during WM’s construction, I do debate whether this is true or not.

Do Alton towers still do 'come back tomorrow' tickets when you leave the park?
If so how much are they now? Used to be £5 or £10 or skemthsom like that.
