Drayton Manor Park

Does anybody have an idea to what could be replacing the Ferris wheel? Visited on Wednesday and it looked as if ground work was taking place on the site which isn’t all that big? Any ideas

I can confirm that the ride closed sometime during the 2015 season as I took my daughter on it on the final date of the 2014 season. There was a maintenance sign there for the remaining of the 2015 season. It was listed on the website as under repair for the 2016 season but was removed completely off the website at the start of the 2017 season.
During the closed season all the boats were removed off the ride and there all been stored behind a fence next to the Thomas land train storage shed.
As I said quite a few pages back a member of staff went in the entrance of the pirate adventure. I had a quick look inside and the old queue line is used for storage. There was HB prize toys in there,Halloween decorations and old signage.

I can't see what the inverted seating adds to the ride.

If you don't count the airtime-killing OTSRs, that is.

In the case of Tivoli Gardens it means they can have the fountains like on Monkey Swinger at Chessington. I haven't been to Tivoli, but the the fountains do make Monkey Swinger a lot more popular than it probably would be without them. I haven't been on one of these rides, but it does look like it would be a good fit for Drayton Manor.

Pandemonium? Wouldn't the rides not be classed as two similar rides. If you had the inverted one like Tivoli Gardens then people would just assume its Pandemonium's non inverting brother. And If you had a normal Magic Carpet ride, that looks a little different but still not to far off. You would surely have to put it elsewhere in the park to differentiate it from Pandemonium so couldn't really put it next to it where the Ferris Wheel used to be.

I would be happy with a Pandemonium themed Picnic area. Or a standard Magic Carpet.
Or a Paratower!
Edit: Yeah, I can go over the top sometimes when it comes to Drayton :p

I believe it is some sort of children's car ride that is going to be placed where the ferris wheel was.

Fair enough for putting in a replacement, lets just hope that this is temporary while we wait for something a little more permanent (or that they're investing additional money into Pirates Adventure ;))

Well, it certainly looks like a track ride of some sort, and it’s being constructed rather quickly. I’m not going to look in to it any further than this :) Prefer to be surprised whenever it comes to new rides
