I was advised last Saturday by the staff in the info centre at the north entrance that all annual pass entry would be via the ice rink gate from last Monday onwards to avoid AP holders getting stuck behind large groups collecting wristbands ... not sure if that's 100% correct but as i always park at the south end it'll save me a little bit of walking and bring me in close to my first stop (always derby racer!) :)

It appears that The Big One has stalled following a power cut this afternoon! From what I can see, it looks like it was stopped at the MCBR, evacuated and then released from there (without sandbags for obvious reasons) to then valley before the tunnel.

If you're a fan of the Wild mouse buy one, and then slide down a set of very steep stairs while sitting on it, then smash into the front door at the bottom of the stairs.

Hey presto, you have recreated the ride!

I'm surprised no one has mentioned LLDC Manchester's hilarious tweet regarding Icon yet......

Anyone know what the procedure is for returning a stalled train to the station? Do they have to take it of the track or somehow pull it back in? Always wondered this.

Depends where it stops. There's a winch on the final brakes (possibly MCBR too), but if it stops earlier in the layout they'd probably take the upstop wheels off and lift the cars off the track one at a time.

Unfortunately not, as I don't do Twitter. But someone showed it to me yesterday. Let's just say the official LLDC Manchester account described Icon as a rude word that normally comes out of your bottom.
