Maybe a ticket to any Merlin park, valid for the rest of the season?
Given that Merlin are so confident about the quality of their product offering from their "Customer Experience" feedback teams & KPI's off the tablets around the parks... how about a free ticket to BPB do the disgruntled customer can go there? They will then see how poor the product offering is at BPB in comparison to a Merlin park and flock back to Merlin parks and never complain again...

Ha.

I'd say Alton Towers has the best ride selection, IMO worth visiting at least once for Nemesis Smiler and Wicker Man. But with Blackpool having Icon, shorter queues, cheaper tickets, easier access for most people... it's a close call for sure

Welcome to the 2018 season..

Where the magic never ends.....

That video was kicking around on FB last week or so. I just hope that the thugs were marched off by the police and banned from the park for life, I know that Alton hasn't been it best this season, but there is no need for guest to behave in such manor towards the staff or in front of guest especially in front of young children. It was quiet disturbing to watch as a video, must be very distressing for those that are there witnessing it first hand.

From what was posted on FB, apparently he had a bit of contraband confiscated by the security who refuse to give it back, hence why he kicked off

Look at the state of it though... During that dodgy sparring movement what he needed was a good shoe around the head by a passing punter. Put the entrance tickets up to £100 if it stops these types coming in.

Just some tosser bouncing around like a kangaroo without a single guard flinching. Pretty embarrassing on his part, at least my customers PROPERLY assault me at work, this looser isn't even trying.

But, as Jeremy Kyle would say, "there's 2 sides to every story". He may have been outraged as to why he was leaving the park when it was only 4pm.....

Saying welcome to 2018 as if there has NEVER been a security incident at any other time...

Hell even Chessie have them from time to time...

Hmmm... I'm not sure about BPB having easier access for most people... my parents always say to me that BPB is too far to go just for a theme park, whereas they are very happy to drive to Alton. The majority of the UK has less of a distance to drive to Alton than to BPB, in my opinion.

BPB has fast motorway access, then the tourist stilt road to the car parks.
It is also accessible by train, bus and tram...direct to the park.
Alton is in the middle of nowhere, down narrow country roads, that should have been bypassed years ago, with the car park money we have been paying for years.
There are very few public transport links.
I live 30 miles from Blackpool, 90 from Alton.
I can get to BPB usually in twenty minutes, I rarely get to Alton in less than 2 hours...comparatively it takes twice as long.
Not everybody is lucky enough to have access to a car Matt, getting to the Towers without one is very difficult, but Blackpool is easy,...by bus, train, tram, or any combination.

Currently in the park and it is extremely busy. Stood in the queue for the rapids at the moment, 55 minute queue and yet we are seeing most boats work only 2 or 3 people in them. Run away mine train is over an hour despite queue times saying otherwise. Seriously bonkers

Apparently it’s new policy to run the Rapids as slowly as possible now. I think they are afraid something might still happen on a properly maintained and run ride. And I’m afraid it’s better than nothing. ;)
