Stargazing Pods

Out of interest, does anyone know if Alton are classing these as part of the Enchanted Village, or are they a separate thing? The TowersStreet website seems to imply that they will be part of the Enchanted Village, but I'm not too sure myself.

Well in that case I can't really see why anyone would spend longer than one day on park to begin with, unless they really liked water parks/crazy golf and payed to do those as well...
You get a free round of golf when you book your stay if you tick a tiny little check box hidden on the corner of the page.

I’m sure people will pay £120 and then when they realise the size, how basic they are inside and that they have to run across the field to go to the toilet, they will rant about it.

Nah, it'll be Haggon Diaz syndrome, when they realise what they're money actually gets term, to friends, they will have really enjoyed the uniqueness blah blah blah. Behind closed doors and to Alton will be different naturally.

I have finally had the chance to look at these.

It looks rubbish. I don't have any confidence the theming/landscaping will be all that either, neither will the facilities and sub-standard Brake Brothers/3663 catering that will go with it.

It seems to be about getting to 1,000 keys as fast as possible, regardless of the quality - and for the lowest possible investment possible. The Enchanted Lodges are already showing wear/tear in places so imagine what these will be like.

Their track record is hardly good so...

Dire.

Three new accommodation options over five years, with one of the others being closed due to lack of demand. It's beyond a joke.

Oh I dont know it depends on how far you put mild peril / discomfort to rate as exciting...

- uncomfortable sweaty shed - OR - exciting unique accommodation
- possibly dedicating yourself in a line for a loo - OR - exciting bowel parlour games
- not getting fed due to lack of venus - OR - exciting gourmet gamble

I think you're all missing out on the sheer excitement and quality of the peasant pods.
