Is it just me, or are merlin not pushing the MAPs as much? Doesn't seem to be as much advertising of them around the park etc. The only place I've seen them pushed was at TP on the advertising screens and a bit at Warwick Castle

Maybe as a MAP lasts 12 months but a season pass is just that.
Next season you have to buy a new one.
Possibly hoping they make more money that way.

I hope you don't leave it in a bag in one of the station cages. The amount of stuff that used to get nicked from them...
Yep I second that. My partner had her handbag stolen from Oblivon's baggage cage one Scarefest evening in 2014. Car & house keys plus her phone all in there. Security staff weren't the most accommodating with the attitude of some "oh well, deal with it, it was just kids probably. They won't be interested in your car". But Alton staff were great, they let her call the RAC & insurance from the back office of guest services. And arranged for a hotel room in ATH for her and my daughter with free pizza and drinks while I got a lift back to Gloucester with a friends (2 hours away) to pick up the spare car key and drive all the way back at 1am! Eventually got back home at 6am!

Since then we try and store nothing in them. And bum bags are the best invention for storing your phone in! :p:D

By the way, a little off-topic but those of you who go to Towers via Uttoxeter and use the McDonald's on the A50/Ashbourne Road roundabout, it is closed until the 12th September for refurbishment. There's a Subway in the Esso garage next to it though! :D

Can't believe anyone in this day and age would leave their house and car keys out of view in an unlocked cage, whilst they're physically trapped in a machine. Not the brightest thing to do. I've left camera's and stuff in a bag in the oblivion hold before but I don't rely on my camera to get me home and into my house. Have people bypassed the concept of clothing with pockets? Anyway, I'm guessing she learned an important life lesson that day.

Well she's well and truly had her wrists slapped by you in that comment. Along with an indirect insult to her intelligence

Women can't buy clothes with pockets so will always need a giant handbag; the greatest example of modern capitalism...

I've always left car keys in someone else's bag as I'm more wary of them falling out of pockets compared to phone, wallet or house keys... Never lost them yet...

Or Burger King at uttoxeter services off the next roundabout after the McDonald’s one.

Keys, phone and wallet fit in my pockets then everything else (hat, suncream, water bottle, food etc) I leave in the station.

Begs the question why doesn't every coaster have Icon-style locking storage bins?

Mate, we, us, men. We are the damn bags.

As someone who owns otherwise identical trousers in both men's and women's (shut up I wanted 2 and there were hardly any left in a discontinued line) I can confirm that pockets in women's clothes are inadequate for storing a wallet, keys and phone securely whilst on rides.

Oh John ... :p I will take special note of those hip hugging trousers next time :D

They know teens and families with kids over 1.4m tall op for a Merlin Pass as they can go to any park on any ride but like me if I lived near Windsor I would buy the Lego season pass as my daughter under 1.2m tall but as I’m 25 mins away from Drayton Manor they had my season pass money for the past 2 seasons.
My last visit to the towers in July I spend the whole day on rides over 1.2m while my wife and daughter enjoyed CBeebies land and after the 2nd day she even said she was to old for the baby rides.
