Might be a long shot, but does anyone have an indication as to which weekend this year will likely be 'Traveller Weekend' at Scarefest? Looking to go on one of the Sundays for the event but obviously would like to avoid that weekend if possible. Thanks in advance!

They have been unpredictable the last couple of years, they even threw Alton and security off guard by turning up when not expected. Usually the 1st or 2nd Sunday, but they have been known to turn up on a Friday a couple of years ago.

Could I ask if anyone knows what time the Bing! Show is on in CBeebies land please? He’s one of my little boys favourites and I’d hate to miss him when we go?

I would recommend that you check the times as soon as you arrive. There should be a board with them on or you can ask a staff member.

12:15pm and 2:15pm

Times may vary so it's worth checking when you arrive on resort. Check queue time boards or head to CBeebies Land where schedules for the day are displayed outside Big Fun Showtime.

Heading to the towers tomorrow and been reading some pretty awful reviews on Trip Advisor.. One of them being that they don't accept cash at the bar at the hotel. Any truth in this?

Erm, I think that is true yes. They certainly so not accept cash at the Welcome Inn.

:)

When I last visited the Alton Towers Hotel at the end of August there were signs saying the bar was cashless. However one guy managed to negotiate a round of drinks using cash so maybe it's accepted under duress if you kick up enough fuss. I recommend you take a card though and assume that's the only method of payment.

Even if the bar is cashless you could charge to the room and pay your bill with cash at checkout.

Anyone got an idea of what this Thursday or Friday will be like up the towers for queues? Thought it'll be quiet and pop up but last week has made me reevaluate

Cheers

Last Friday was quiet although queues were fairly busy. Smiler and Galactica were about 60 minutes, Wicker Man about 40 minutes, other coasters about 20 minutes. Who knows what it'll be like this week though.
