The most scared you've ever been on a ride?

I thought I was immune to this tbh. I've always enjoyed the feeling of being up high, so no coasters give me that genuine fear factor.

And then I rode Summit Plummet at Blizzard Beach.

I can honestly say I'll never do that ever again. You feel disgustingly exposed up there with nothing attached to you and can see the whole of Disney in the distance.

I think the worst thing is that the drop is almost vertical, so you can't even see the slide as you edge towards it. It's kind of like being on front row Oblivion, but sitting down in your swimming shorts and having to push yourself over the edge with no restraint system. My heart was absolutely pounding like I never thought possible.

And then there's the wedgie at the bottom.

Had back to back beers straight after and then left for the day!

I've not done a slide where the floor drops, so I don't know if that's worse.

Look at it ffs.

What about you guys?

Probably the Lex Luthor drop tower at SFMM, purely because of the ridiculous height plus the classic tension that builds as you ascend. I can only envisage the likes of Kingda Ka or TTD topping that.

This...thing at Legendia in Poland.

Didn't look too bad at first, but within seconds, we regretted our decision. I don't think I've heard so much swearing in a long time, and I honestly thought I was going to fall out towards the end! Poor @Kelpie's shoulders were ruined!

Oh dear, remember being very ill after doing one of those at the local Easter fair in my youth.
It had a brake handle that made it spin when you pulled it for the first half, but for the second half it went in the opposite direction constantly rolling.
Nothing but dodgems for the rest of the day.
Sick for about two days after.
You would absolutely love a go dippy.

I was quite nervous prior to riding Falcon’s Fury at Busch Gardens Tampa and Ihu’s Breakaway Falls at Aquatica Orlando.

Back in 2013, I was also very nervous to ride The Smiler for the first time because I was worried that the ride would actually marmalise my body and mind! (I was 10 at the time!)

The only ride that I've come off shaking due to the adrenaline pumping around my body is the skycoaser (one can be found on Blackpool pier and I think Oakwood and Walibi Land Holland also had one), especially when you are the one pulling the cord

Yeah skycoasters look amazing. God knows what lunatic thought it would be a good idea to drop people 100's of feet in the air in a sleeping bag.

They've got the tallest in the world in Fun Spot Kissimmee, I was tempted but it was the last day and we were low on funds. Think I'd have been up there all day before pulling the chord tbh.

Any drop tower ever!

Although King Kahuna was pretty horrible! Luckily you get pushed down by your head otherwise I still think I'd be there. So bravo on doing Summit Plummet, a well earned beer there :)

@Jonathan that looks horrifying even before you get on :tearsofjoy:

Same, I never get properly scared on anything with a restraint system!

However, the first time I done this, Tower of Power @ Siam Park, I thought I was going to have an actual heart attack!

In person, it didn't look too bad off ride, but as mentioned, we came to regret our decision to ride within seconds of the damn thing starting up. :p

This thing at the now defunct Wet 'n Wild:

It looked like a normal space bowl slide, but it was disgustingly fast and disorientating because of all the mist. It made my head whip back and hit the slide as I entered the bowl because I wasn't holding it up properly, which has never happened on any other slide I've done.

Safe to say 12 year old me was put off this type of slide for a while! :p I would have liked to try it again, to see if it was as bad as I remember it being.

I wouldn't say that I was scared but the first time I rode Kingda Ka back in 2011 got the heart pumping. Then revisting the park again this year, Zumanjaro's climb to the top was similar.

However the most scared I have ever been is the SkyCoaster at FunSpot Kissimmee. It is the world's tallest at 300ft and I was absultely petrified, as @Sazzle will be able to testify. The adrenaline rush however was something else!

And then there was being stuck 250ft up Millennium Force's lift hill for the best part of an hour, on the front row. Never again please!

:)

My first ride on Silver Star (2004). I'd never done anything even half as high!

:)
