TowersStreet - Make Your Mark

Meatpie, your logo looks amazing! You've done a lot to it since you showed us yesterday! It looks really professional. :)

Adam, I just used PowerPoint 2007, two free fonts and I used Photoshop to take the Towers from my avatar that I made a few months ago and added it to the miniature AT sign. I created the Corkscrew in No Limits before I edited that in Photoshop too. Doesn't sound that great when I put it like that! :p

I love this logo! Even more so for the shape of the tower at the right hand side! Is that a subtle hint about the community? ;)

I'm pretty certain it's not that font... as Joel told me the name yesterday and I'm sure it's a one word answer.... possibly something beiginning with fant... Fantasia, or something like that. Alas I'm at work now, so can't remember off the top of my head... I'll have a look later.
 
Now this is something I will definitely try to do, but unfortunately I'm not sure if I'll have the time :(
At the earliest, I can start on Friday after my science exam, but I have a tonne of graphics coursework (designs, logos etc) to do as well... Ah well, school can wait :D

The deadline is not until 22nd June so you have over a week to make a logo! Take your time, but please do not jeopardize your education for a fan site logo. :p
 
Unfortunately I’ve been too busy to give my full opinion on what I think of the designs so far but there was something I wanted to say about both BigAl’s and Meat Pie’s Logo which might influence what everyone else is doing. While I think they’re really good designs I think they could have an issues when being used as a Logo because scaling them won’t be as easy as with the TT logo which looks good at any size.

This is more of an issue with BigAl’s which I think would be a fantastic home page image but is probably too intricate to be a Logo.


Not to knock either of your designs which I think look great and deserve proper comments when I get the chance. I just think we need something a bit more iconic. I could imagine Meat Pie’s frogs coming to good use.

I secretly wanted a logo based on the frogs.
 
I love the idea of having the leap frogs in front of the Towers as a logo - but I think just having one frog would be better than the two and it should just be the central part of the Towers used not the two bits either side.

Just to expand on something James said, when making your designs bear in mind it will have a number of functions, it will have to work its bum off in its new role so needs versatility. Should help when choosing your design and there is nothing wrong with having a few variations submitted

I hear you.

I know when my design gets voted in, it'll be important to have it representing the TS brand immediately, so I've made a square version for social media profile pictures and the like.

I really love the big TS logo, but not so keen on the font of the text below. It's a bit 90's-American-sitcom-Frasier looking to me. But the main logo is absolutely gorgeous.
 
The colour and style of the letters is lovely Kelpie!

And Sam, I love your use of Comic Sans ;)

The font for the 'Towers Street' text is changeable, if the site team have something in mind already for their branding :D
I just used that one as an example (trying to find something closeish to the T & S which are taken from Alton's own logo!)

lol, I mostly was trying to design something that could work also as a badge.... *has a problem* :p
