Thorpe Park: General Discussion

Or they realise they need to UP the money grabbing?

Nothing in their recent behaviour seems to suggest a trend in any other direction. Their long term strategy is as flimsy as their vinyl sticker themeing.
They've been pretty decent recently giving out vouchers to spend when they screwed up, they gave me £20 then the group I was in £50 in vouchers to spend.

Money vouchers in a way is better than handing out free fastrack in an operations sense but giving out money vouchers is lost revenue.

I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s changed and instead you get discount vouchers.

@HermanTheGerman 192 out 200?! absolutely dire, is there any indication on what they were last year?

It's slightly different thanks to VIP (1 compo ft==£10 normally) but im aware of a few non VIPs who recently got money vouchers

The cynic in me says that’s a deliberate attempt to grab attention, as we know they’ve had a shocking year.

Finally remove Slammer & Loggers to make it seem work is happening? Tidy the place up

To be fair, that's probably a legacy thing from previous management, I doubt Mr Crabtree has had much time to do anything at the park since his appointment, let alone dream up a new marketing campaign.

Based on Alton this year, the new bits for Thorpe will be increased fast track sales, decreased staff and opening hours / days, closed F&B outlets and more SBNO rides (Colossus being top of that list) I'm afraid he won't be able to merge RAP and Fast track queues as Thorpe did that beginning of this year on most rides and if he increases car park fees any further, he might find people using the staff car park more often.

Actually after seeing the wording of the advert on park, it says “watch out for our 2019 events, visit thorpepark.com/2019”

That to me just means a new summer nights IP, something walking dead related & some other guff that they’ll trundle out including the biggest most scariest most mazes and scare zones at 2019 Fright night.
