Stargazing Pods

I stayed at a Travelodge last weekend and they provided a breakfast box containing cereal, milk, orange juice and a muffin. Why don't they provide these to guests staying in the pods? There's nothing to heat up, just keep them chilled and then hand them out to guests in the morning. They could also provide tea and coffee making facilities in the tipi, then like magic there's no queues for breakfast anymore.
Unless they’ve scrapped them, that’s what they offered Enchanted Village people opting for continental breakfast - they even drop it outside the door at 7am

I had a look round the site the other day and it really is badly signposted, from the car park there is not one sign to the reception. Your natural instinct is to go towards the pods, which would then lead to the enchanted village reception. Even inside the pods site there is no signage to the reception.

What’s worse is there isn’t a direct path from reception to the pods without going right out your way round the site. It all just seems so badly thought out.

Seems product excellence needs a reminder...

This accommodation offering is far more frightening than any of the scarefest mazes to me.. .. Terror of the Towers indeed

I actually don't think the concept is bad, it has just been badly executed. If they marketed it as camping in wooden tents, charged a sensible rate and built adequate facilities they could have been onto a winner. The sad thing is, they have likely already made their money back on this and that is all they care about...

None of us are surprised at these reviews, surely Merlin can't be either?

That’s what I can’t understand! When the first artistic impressions were made the board should have realised that not only are they not up to standard, they would be widely ridiculed and bring bad feeeback.

One can only hope
I dont. I believe they should stay and help lower the brand experience and reputation of the park. Merlin are so bad that only negative reviews that will be in the mindset of the public will cause them to change their tune. A fire is a get out of jail free card for Merlin and its terrible management.

At least if there is a fire we can hope Varney goes down for insurance fraud
